Speedline Alloys 172 Cup Sport - best cleaner?

Gonna bath me car tomorrow, Turtle wax bath & wax/rinse then hand finish -You know you can't beat a nice hand job :approve:

Those alloys look like they could get damaged pretty easy...if I use Wonderwheels will it melt em????

Any other advice on products to use or more importantly NOT to use would be most welcomed.

I just use car shampoo, but I'm washing my car all the time so they don't get that dirty

I sometimes use Auto Glym 'clean wheels' or Meguairs 'hot wheels' watered down.

If you use wonderwheels make sure you water it down because you don't want it melting your wheels

Cheers Jay - will do, I used it once on my Motorbike wheel - took the lacquer & paint off and was down to the bare metal within minutes - I was gutted, it's good stuff Wonder Wheels, in the same way that sulphuric acid is...

Wonder wheels is harsh stuff, works well if you have really grimey wheels. I would try it watered down first if you must use it.

I use Autogylm Motorcyle cleaner on mine if they get really grimey, as it's not acid based so wont damage anything.

As Jay says normal soapy water should do the trick. I buy cheapo halfords car wash just for this task. If you polish and seal the wheels with something like Autoglym Super Resin and Extra Gloss Protection, soap and water should be all you need.

A cone type wheel brush will be a great help on yur tricky to clean Speedlines.

Thats what Fred uses I use some stuff from Halfords but I never wash the car so I cannot remember its name.
