Pretty much my plan yeh. Tbh I'd happily live with it at 280bhp. The next weak link for mine is the clutch/box.

That box should be good for at least 1k with that power lol
Box is fucked tbh. I've noticed it crunching a few times. I'm very sympathetic with my changes too.

Tbh 280 is more than enough as well, mine was great at 260. I was running the standard clutch too & it was fine.

Pictures from today, the car has been flat sanded down & the base coats are going on The windows were going to come out but they have a window kit that gets right behind the seals so the paint can get right in.

Awesome stuff mate. You ever had a freshly painted car before? The problem I had with mine is because we only had the one booth it was hard to bake it for long enough. Paint was so so soft. Be very careful of bird poo lol.
Its done 49,500 brings me out in a cold sweat.
I hate seeing the miles go on tbh but I do love driving it.
10k in 3 1/2 years isnt bad I guess..
If it was just me and the misses id come up your way and make a weekend of it mate, but I dont think my two boys would like being stuck in the back of the clio for that long.

No never had one before, its been baked in the oven for enough time as all the panels got baked in a seperate oven but Paul has still said be very careful with it, i might even just put it in the garage until the Malton meet. bird poo is a nitemare like, the works carpark is a nitemare for it, before i started parking in a different spot the 197 was always getting covered in it lolOhh really where do you go? Will have to meet up
im off the next few tuesday aswell as my shifts are falling on the weekends.That is low mileage for a ph1, but if you've only done 10k in 3 1/2 year im sure if wont get higher very quick lol.
Yeah your probs right two boys in the back of a clio will get bored quickly ha.

Yeah I had a massive problem with mine because of it. Was out in the open outside the unit and used to get left some weekends outside. Come back and find a bird had shat on it. As it was so soft it just eats through it so just be sure to put some protection on it at least! Same thing happened again with the Golf. Fresh bonnet + bird s**t. If you've got a garage use it lol. The Mrs used to wonder why I was so f**ked off when it happened.
Let me get a bowl of acid and throw it over your bonnet and see how you fcking like it lol.
