just though I would post these two videos which show what sort of sound using a foam filter produces...
yep! Good spot! was there about a month ago.Is this at Ullswater?!

Yeah standard battery. As far as I know its a battery bag from an Astra/Corsathat looks good hiamsy, if only I could weld aluminium! Is that a standard battery? whats it in?!
yep. I found the hardest bit was removing the pipe from the side (you have to push a button thing in and pull/wiggle it out). Remember to also remove the pip all the way down the the acoustic valve (no need to remove the valve itself, the airflow is good behind the headlight anyway), again another annoying clip system iirc.
It might, but its not needed as air floods in from around the light and other areas. in that test I did with the heat sensors, the acoustic valve was in place. it takes 10 mins if you have a good jack and the tools im sure, but I wouldn't say its worth the effort tbh.would removing the acoustic valve increase cold air flow though? I removed mine last night it only took 10 minutes!
😧 guess you sent it to work? could always drive n pick it up? call someone first to check?
looks a much better fit that than mine size wise! Looks like you have the offset at the top though, if you turn the filter to the offset in near the battery and make sure the alloy pipe is a far in as it can go in the OE rubber bend, it should move things up just enough to stop the alloy pipe hitting the ECU bracket mounting plate.Ok so here it is all plumbed in.. sounds pretty good tbf.. seems to work well as suggested fits nicely behind the headlight, just need to get a cable tie
I will go take a pic...Looks good. What part do you need to cable tie?
Filter aside, what a gorgeous engine bay!
yep except for anything to do with tires or cambelts, I do everything myselfDitto.
Did you do that engine cover yourself?
yep  except for anything to do with tires or cambelts, I do everything myself
