The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

I've got my filter today as well lol. Can't wait for the pipe part tomorrow!! Will post pics as soon as it's fitted.

Worth a pop under £40 bucks. Will stick a pic up when It's done and report back. Much cheaper than the 166 banger ktec job

Lol at everyone waiting for the pipe. If mine turns up tomo its first job thur am when I'm off

yep. I found the hardest bit was removing the pipe from the side (you have to push a button thing in and pull/wiggle it out). Remember to also remove the pip all the way down the the acoustic valve (no need to remove the valve itself, the airflow is good behind the headlight anyway), again another annoying clip system iirc.

would removing the acoustic valve increase cold air flow though? I removed mine last night it only took 10 minutes!

It might, but its not needed as air floods in from around the light and other areas. in that test I did with the heat sensors, the acoustic valve was in place. it takes 10 mins if you have a good jack and the tools im sure, but I wouldn't say its worth the effort tbh.

Think my pipe work has arrived. If i have time tonight i will get a picture up otherwise weekend for me aswell!

I was looking at getting the ktec filter but £160 bucks  Will give this thing a go see how it sounds. I bought it all last night

Originally heard there was some itg thing or air box mod that was another option? Or could just stick a better panel filter in ?

Ok so here it is all plumbed in.. sounds pretty good tbf.. seems to work well as suggested fits nicely behind the headlight, just need to get a cable tie

looks a much better fit that than mine size wise! Looks like you have the offset at the top though, if you turn the filter to the offset in near the battery and make sure the alloy pipe is a far in as it can go in the OE rubber bend, it should move things up just enough to stop the alloy pipe hitting the ECU bracket mounting plate.

Still waiting for my pipe! Not too fussed tbh as it's pissing down today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

yep  except for anything to do with tires or cambelts, I do everything myself

Well played sir! How or where did you get the polished manifold? Thinking of going down this colour coded shiney route myself now! Battery cover looks ace too
