The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

Just been driving around and the noise is really good. You only hear the induction roar when the engine is under load. It's perfect as for.normal town driving it's quiet. Putting the car in 3rd when doing 20 mph and flooring it makes it really roar. Loving it.

Got it all on and setup, sounds the bees knees! Il try put some footage up later got my old man to film me giving it some. So from reading up the filter doesnt need oiling?

Just got back from a drive. Jesus christ it sounds awesome when you floor it, really deep. I've had a few induction kits before but this just sounds brutal.

Really happy. Can't test the power too much though as the weather is gash. Got some dashcam footage of it though if anyone would be further interested? Might have a few bits of my mum screaming too lol

Uploading now. I would put up the bit where i'm convincing my mum I was accelerating to get "racecar points, 3 for every acceleration" but my internet is crap haha.

Is anyone else thinking the filter needs oiling? Mine felt pretty dry even though the black rubber connector part was a little greasy. Im going to order some of that ITG oil Fatty was on about.

Had a chance to properly test this now and my god it can be loud. The sound is awesome - so deep and throaty. Im going to london tomorrow and there is a nice little tunnel near hillingdon on the M40 on the way there. Going to give it full beans through there!!

Glad your all enjoying then :) just remember to keep an eye on the filter for a while to make sure its not collapsing or anything silly!

Also its sounds amazing in a tunnel! I always think it sounds like a plane engine spinning up!

Do we need oil for it mate? Or not for a while?

RAMAIR say they only need to be re-oiled when you wash them. Apparently something in the manufacture process puts the oil in between the 2 layers of foam somehow. However I cannot guarantee there claim! If you worried, give them a call :)

I've also got some footage of your Mum screaming

Ha! Beat me to it

Got the pipe today and seems to fit with the filter with a bit of persuasion not badly at all!. Shame the cars away getting looked at but I'll get a couple vids up when it's on. I'm running a standard exhaust at the moment so it'll be all induction noise

Finally fitted it in work. Weather turned and because I have no bloody heaters I struggled to see driving home, lol. Does sound very good mind. Far better value than the ktec equivalent, sounds just as good too. All in all a bargain mod

can anyone guess what this is?

Are you talking about the pipes below the headlight, the ones you see when removing the airbox?

Mine really bogged down once engine was up to full temp must of been sucking in too much hot air. :/
Unlikely in that area tbh. Also if it was sucking hit air it wouldn't make it 'bog down', it would be more like carrying a passenger or less. You sure its not something else? What map are you running?

Anyone else got any issues with bogging down when hot?

Im running the 98 ron map using v power it most likely isn't the filter this happened after my long drive to Devon

Same map as me. Have you checked everything is OK with the filter physically? Do you think it could be size related?

Yeah i had a CDA on my 182, THE NOISE and also THE LACK OF POWER.
Avoid.

After years of testing and messing about ITG panel in the standard airbox could not be beaten on a standard map.
