Re: The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy [& Fred's V6]
Glad you can now drive it again Andy
Thanks mate. I can't wait until I can drive it in anger!
Great to see it all complete, been a long time but looks more than worth it. Very tidy and brilliant spec
Enjoy Andy.
I will do, Keith. Hopefully I can catch you at some point at a meet or event. See what you think and maybe take it for a spin.
Looks great Andy. The bay looks immense.
Thank you kind sir. Fair play to Fred, he's tidied it up no end. It's nice not to have all the aircon stuff in there as well.
Looks f**kING awesome mate
glad it's all done and finally at home with you.
Now for mapping. Hope if pulls some very good figures for you.
Proper Car.

Cheers fella. It's not quite at home yet though.
It wasn't worth me taking it from Brum all the way back down to south Wales, only to have to take it up to Leeds. Plans are in place to get it transported up to RS Tuning about... ooh... anytime now really.
Guessing you can't get out on track at fcs if it's not mapped yet?
so close!
Sadly not mate. Mind you, I won't be at FCS this time around as I have a weekend at Oulton Park for the BTCC. I'll be there with my main man Rob Austin! LOL! Hopefully catch up with you soon.
Awesome news.
Can't wait to hear it!
I'll let you know when and you can pop in on your way past (or can meet you somewhere). You'll have to give it a go.
Will do chap, cheers.
Holy s**t its back! It looks great and im sure you/fred are pleased with it, interesting to see the results after mapping
Mine never got hot with the polo rad fitted and pacet fan, not even in standing traffic. I need to refit that set up to my current car when I find some motivation.
Considered giving pro-alloy a shout for a rad? their work is pretty amazing
As above, it's not quite back just yet... *nervous* Pleased with it? So far I am over the moon with it, even though it's got a bit left to do. As for Fred. Well. He's probably more than happy to see the back of it! But he's certainly done the business as far as I am concerned. As for Pro-Alloy...
Pro Alloy are doing a rad for Porkie soon and had lots of people interested so i’ll probably set up a group buy on them once I find out costs etc
Their work is epic!
Yeah I mentioned it yesterday on Facebook and quite a few people interested
...this. I'm certainly interested. If a group buy can be arranged then even better. Obviously I don't want to spend more than I have to but I'm not skimping on parts having come this far.
Pro Alloy are a bit on the pricey side IMO, their stuff is good though, there's also Radtec, Allisport, Rs Fabrications, etc etc, group buy on 5 could be a plan!
Fair points. A few options there so I will have a look at pricing, etc.
How many miles have been done in Fred's Vee...?
ITB install looks very neat!
In Fred's Vee I've done, ooh, a fair few miles...
I think it's somewhere in the high 50k's now. Maybe even touching 60k.
I've done a lot. And enjoyed every single mile. But it has also been looked after as if it was my own.
only a few, was quite nice leaving the house this morning, i forgot it was mine LOL! Less than 24hours i've had it back, already been asked how much i've spent on it to make it look the way it does! Still chips along well, rev limiter in 5th is always fun
Don't rub it in. The Type-R is not the same.
That said, I could actually here the radio on the way into work this morning and was able to leave the house without waking up the neighbours! Thanks for letting me borrow it for so long. Epic, epic car and I will drive one again in the future.
Damn those Halfords V6 bodykits though... and the fact you are driving around in a "28 grand hairdressers car"... <- Best comment I had aimed at it whilst in my ownership!
