Black S2 106 Rallye LHD
I viewed a 172 Phase 1 earlier. 50k miles, cam belt already changed at 40k.
The guy is looking to downgrade, so I was going to give him my standard and great condition 106 Gti (56k) plus some cash.
His car was generally quite nice but there were some things that bothered me:

His car was generally quite nice but there were some things that bothered me:
- Whooring drone from the rear. He said it was a wheel bearing but in the history it looked like the bearing had already been replaced recently, so could it be something worse?
- Clutch was jolty and crap. Stalled it a few times at first.
- Gear shift seemed ok but a little stiff.
- At dual carriage way speed the rear felt a little soft.
- Accelator pedal very stiff. Felt like the cable is rubbing
Any thoughts on these problems and potential costs?
