Why does my Clio sound like a Diesel?

  Oyster Card
My Clio thinks it's a diesel I try to tell him that he's not I even show him the Unleaded sticker our french friends placed on him.

Any idea what it might be, you know the sound really tappy, it's got more noticable as of late I'd say and if I turn the sub off I car hear it tapping away whilst traveling slow.
And idling is a whole diffrent story the tapping is really quiet loud, a few of my freinds actually asked me if it was a diesel, which it's not.. i hope.

Reminds me of a Fiesta engine sound.

most of the older clios are tappy..you can fix it, you have to use really gd oil & adjust the tappets using a feeler blade. takes about 45 mins.

Cheers if it's the tappets I take it not a serious issue just annoying? I'm going to do a whole oil change on it well tell a lie National Tyres are going to do an oil and filter change for £20 (Visco 7000 0w-40) can't really beat that doing the work myself.
