Handles colour coded pearl black (pics)

Got a pair of 2nd hand exterior handles and had a go at colour coding them.

Took a while to prep and get ready for primering and painting, but the final outcome is worth it i think.

The handles have a slight orange peel look in the pics where ive oversprayed abit too much. I learnt a lot about spraying whilst doing these and i cant wait to crack on with the side moudlings.

Once the clear coat is dry in a week or two i will scratch X them and i think it will polish them up a lot more.

:) Comments welcome

Yeah, Ill do the wetsanding in a few days :) with 3000 grit. Just was abit scared seeing as i only clear coated yesterday. Should have waited a few more days for them to dry but there on now.

Yeah side strips next :)

Lol, i did think of that. But it was very sunny today so let nature work its magic.

Dont think ill be able to fit the strips in the oven if i did them.

i just did my sides but want to do my handles
when you did them of corse you removed them but did you have to take them apart at all!?

No, i left them together, Started using 800 grit but the grit seemed to come off the paper to easily, so moved to 120 and it did the job.

Also in between wetsanding its a pain in the @ss to get the little drops of water from inbetween the handle.
