  A special one.
2013 was my 1st css, there was people off of the forum that I wanted to meet. I knew what area they where from and the car they drove but I couldn't seem to find them in the big mess of cars.

So 2014 could we have either different area's like Kent/Essex/Midlands/Northend.
Or An area for the PH1, V6, PH2, etc then Non Renault?

I used to go to the London to Brighton classic Mini runs and this was set out in area's of where the cars came from.

I think there should be more awards for the car's like the best PH1, the best PH2 then show and shine and the best modified.

I feel the way CSS was set out my car missed out on the judging.
You could also have an area for people's cars who want to enter the judging so they have a better chance and the judges can spend more time looking at fewer cars rather than spend ages walking about a field.

All good in theory, but how do you suppose we organise 300 cars in that way? Bearing in mind that at best we have around 6-7 people helping to arrange the cars on the day. It's hard enough as it is without adding another layer of complication. We do have an idea for how we're going to lay it out next year though, so that should hopefully help.

RE the awards, that's something we can look at - No harm in adding more! No cars were missed out on the judging. Brian and I walked around every single vehicle, twice, in the rain before we selected the winners.

Luke, well it can be done with model of cars then. We all know what a ph1/ph2/v6 look like.

Im up for helping along with Sunglasses_Ron.

Also if there was a judging area then I would have stayed by my car so that the judge can have a good look around it and a quick chat about the car as im sure anyone who enters would be pleased to do so.

Anyway its food for thought mate, just some idears that have been going around in my head.
I also camped after CSS and it was a great night. :)

What happens when billybob in his ph1 comes with jimbob in his ph2 and they want to display their cars together though? do we tell them that they can't? Thanks for the offer of help, it will be much appreciated!

Right im s**t at trying to get my point across so please bare with me. lol

Im thinking that couldn't there be a tick box when you buy the tickets if you want to show your car?
If joe blogs buys his ticket and ticks yes then a sticker also gets sent out to him.

He sticks it on his wind screen so when he arrives the people helping knows which area his car has to go.

Same as people from different area's.
Green sticker sent to the northen lot, blue to Kent etc...

I don't want to show mine as such. I go for the social side if it, it's a right laugh

The camping was what I went for more than the day itself
So deffo incorporate camping if you can :)

I'll help out too if you want

I can see sending different colour stickers to different people being an organisational headache.

When we were parking this year, it was a big enough headache to try and get people to park in the right places when it was just Clios, V6's, Other Marques and display/stand cars.

Name badges - username & real name - could be useful to help identify people and avoid having the same conversation 50 times.

We've had name badges at every CSS since it began in 2011, they are optional and some people choose to go without

So about 4 or maybe 5 area's, hows that a nightmare???

Brian will have the address so its not going to be rocket science, he will know where the ticket is going so how hard can it be to add a sticker??

If you dont try these things then you will never know, push the boundaries out.

Thats because you are a moron and probably can't even organise you're self. Lol

Look up london to Brighton mini run and see how they do it.

I know what you're saying, however coming from people who have actually stood there numerous time, as well as planned many of these events in the past, here are my main concerns.

1: People can't even select the correct membership option when renewing. We also had people selecting the wrong amount of tickets they needed for CSS 2012/13, as well as which club they belong to. Other clubs get their own space btw, Clio v6 etc - What makes you think they'll select the correct area they are in?

2: OK we buy stickers, so that's x300 stickers we need to buy, as well as x300 css decals, so that's 600ish tickets in total me and Brian will need to pack up (and IMO it's also an unnecessary cost).

3: What if someone wants to put their car with their friend (which we always get asked for when people arrive)

4: Added level of complexity when creating the ticket packs.

5: People struggle to position their cars correctly as it is, in any order.

Last but not least - We tried it at FCS before and it went to complete s**t because of all the reasons above. CSS is a social event anyway, so people should be able to put their cars with their friends that they convoy in with.

I'm with you on pushing boundaries, but this is an inefficient added layer of complexity and problem causing that isn't worth the effort, put simply.

Anyway, moving on! :D

Silly question, my tent is the size of a small house...
10 man....
So I can accommodate people with me if anyone is stuck...
or shall I buy a little one...

Agree with Luke and Callum about parking. When there is only 4/5 of you sorting out parking, 3 zones is about the limit. Especially when you get a constant stream of cars coming in as we did at CSS13.

Can CS support air beds? Mine had hole in last year and I was pumping away at 1:30 in morning.
