Yes.. Check the rear shocks. This is what is wrong with my 172.. rears are gone on mine, and this is how the car behaves (assuming tyre pressures are all ok)
Ok cool. thanks heaps. So yes, I have the question now to just get the standard set from renault or go uprated. Guess if going uprated, i'll be lowering it with eibiach springs. Are the rear springs difficult todo at the same time?
Hi Ally,
Since Im in australia, would probably cost to much to ship here ;-) But thanks for giving me some ideas to look at. Will do some running around this weekend

I have a 2001 OZ 172. Never have experienced the cold start issue, but I have heard others with the same complaint. Few people on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Oz_Clio_Sportyahoo forum come to mind... BUT, I believe if you wait until you hear the fuel pump prime, then start the car, should not...
With my current MK1 172 coming near to end of warrant (got 83,000kms on it), have to decide if 1) keep the car, 2) get a 182 or 3) Get a Megane 225.... Hrmmm.. decissions
Just did this on my MK1.. But had the lenses and bulb holders, so just had to change this pins on the plugs. I looked at it if the MK1 buld holders would fit the MK2 lenses, but looked as if theyd need gluing on or something like that
Notice most of those reviews all relate to a kenwood unit.... Seen plenty of good reviews in cars like BMWs, Audis etc. Im just source a palce that will ship one of these o/s for my 172 Mk1
Guess you could just remove teh headunit to find out for sure... Keep me posted on how it goes (As 1) havent found a place to ship a kit O/S and 2) funds right now)
The other thing with the FM transmitter, cannot control the ipod from the steering wheel controls.. also, does charge while plugged into the car as it does with the ice-link
This seems to be a common problem with the 172s.. Water leaking into the spare wheel area. About a year ago, I supposidly had this fixed by the dealer here, but today when i was having the car down at the tyre place for some tyres, it is all wet in there again. Did renault ever acknowledge this...
