because the width of the rims on the cup are 7.5 as opposed to the 7 inch ones on the standard 172! Had mine measured for computer wheel balancing and the calipers measured 7.5, so that would count for the extra inch 25mm wider track combined with a different offset too!
Exisitng cup tyres are crap - no grip, rol and slide everywhere - will 205 series tyres fit on the rims - I was told they will coz the alloys are 7.5 inch wide as opposed to 7 inch?
New DT Motorsport catalogue - much better than the lax power one they make - has a new OMP rollcage, 3 section Grp N OMP exhaust (not for road use I might add - back pressure is different so they advice a remap - oh really!) reace seats, Grp N filters and motosport filters (already ordered mine)...
Dash lights went - blown fuses or wiring - went to get it fixed and they charged me coz it was the lexus lights I fitted that blew or shorted the ciricuit - I knew that! So be warned with any other problems your warranties are as they say in show business - over!
This sounds like its gonna be good - specifically for renaults - cups, 172s, new V6 ....wow .......190 for members not bad at Oulton Park - £310 at Brands Hatch
Probably change the 1600 in a year or two - can a second hand one of any of these three cars be had in that timeframe for a a good deal with part exchange? How much are you looking for a second hand type R civic or FRP now?
Can this be fitted to a cup - and any cup owners out there - ar you having serious difficulty getting a good launch - I find first gear pointless - you simply cant floor it for wheelspin and second gear you have to accelerate gently which obviously cuts down your sprints and therefore bad times...
One in front of me before we were both turning onto A road from a country B road - he shot of like something else - got him further up the road though - but what is the 60 dash time in this thing - it was a tank!
Seriously thinking of changing to one of these - saw one at our local supersunday race series (single seaters, fiesta challenge/standard saloons and super saloons) It was blue, with the world rally team logos on the wing, official WRC roof vent, WRC headlights, in black, 18inch WRC gold alloys...
Anyone with a 172 done this yet - think it would look good - the black plastic strip in the lower bumper done in real carbon fibre - some of the big mercedes and bmw SUVs have something similar!
Check out Autocar this week - article on Megane RS
"0-60 in 6.5 and 140 top end" Twin exhausts a"halfway between the Renaultsport 2.0 litre and the clio V6" With a 0-60 of 6.5 you can be sure itll be quicker. Cost between £16K and £18K - not bad, may have to trade the 1600 in wneh it arrives...

Car B is a 1600 16V weighs 850Kg and has a specific output of 106.2BHP/Litre. Its Torque is 150NM
Which ACCELERATES quicker? and what is the engine size of Car A?
Seriously, how many expect massive gains from a back box???
Think about it - the engine produces power (AT THE ENGINE) and dispatches it to the wheels with exhaust gases fired out the back (TO GET RID OF THEM) So tell me, changing the back box, which has nothing to do with an engines power -...

No 172/Cup featured - we need to write in and complain!!!!
O-60 for R32 in 6 secs - ud kinda expect that from a 3.2 litre V6 with 240BHP - bit slow really and as Clarkson said much rather have a MK2 GTI or G60!
Interesting about the Jag - 300Kgs striped out gave a 1.2 sec quicker dash to...
