One of my 2's fell off so i got another one for free from some kind chap on this forum. To be honest if any of my numbers fell of again i'd just take them all off and leave the CUP badges. Looks cool like that anyway.
Problem solved. My dads mate has an old style Laguna. His spare is a 14 inch steelie but with a 185/65 tyre. Sat it next to my wheels and is almost identical in size so should be fine to use in an emergency to get me to a garage.
Knew i shouldve bought that FF 172 i was looking at before i...
I dont know anyone with a clio or i would. None of the scrappys i phoned had a cup/172/182 wheel, but im now at the point where i just want anything that will fit. Wasnt sure if i could use a 15" wheel off a dynamique as a kind of space saver just to get me to a garage. Im not brave enough to...
Im driving to the south of France from Scotland in 2 weeks time in my cup, and im a bit worried about not having a spare wheel. Ive tried a dozen or so scrappys and ebay etc but havent had much luck. Is it safe/advisable to use a 15" clio wheel, as im sure it'd be a lot easier gettin one of those?
I alternate between an ITG panel filter and a Viper on my cup (elephant wont insure me with the Viper - although they dont care about my Superchip?!) and i think the ITG filters are worth the money.
Although i did have to declare my panel filter as its still non-standard, but only put my...
I think it depends on the area as well. Ive seen a few on the autotrader website down south selling for 6 - 6.5k-ish. Most of the ones ive seen in scotland still seem to be selling for decent prices, and dont seem to take long to sell. Around 7.5k - 8k for a 53 plate.
At the end of the day...
I'll give it a go and try my local dealer. The annoying thing is ive only noticed the sticking 3 or 4 times over the last few months, usually first thing in the morning when i let my handbrake off for the first time, but my brakes have been fine apart from that as i would have noticed.
I only...
Cheers mate. £120 is a bit steep. Hopefully i can get away without needing a new one.
Daft question but i know brakes/exhausts etc arent covered by the warranty, but surely if its caused by a screw inside the caliper rusting it would be covered by the warranty? Or is that being a bit optimistic?
My ar was in the garage today and i was told i'd need a new rear caliper for my 172 cup. I'd noticed its been sticking a bit recently when letting my handbrake off and pulling away. Any ideas how much they cost roughly?
Aye when i first got my cup i kept looking for it, problem is when you hit the limiter in 2nd you're usually holding on for dear life and trying to concentrate on keeping the car on the road. lol.
I had the same dilemma before i bought my cup. The main reason for me was that the cup is far better looking. Granted I also had a look at a FF 172 and it was a very nice car with the better interior and extra toys, but at the end of the day if i wanted a nice comfy car with 'toys' etc then i...
