Yup Socket - possibllt torx sockets aswel but should all fit in very easily - remember tho that there isnt much room to work in there! The thermostat shjould just plug in. I did mine not long ago but cant remeber how easy it was im afraid.
Ah yes, but i dont want to spray the really really hot bits, just the plastic cover ;) Was kinda hoping standard Halfords paint would do the trick..... ive got some at home and have just done my wing mirrors...
When the car is at a standstill and i begin to turn the wheel, the power from the engine is seriously drained and the rev counter drops bellow 400rpm!! Plus the steering is really heavy and makes a terrible drone and also feels like its rubbing as the wheel turns through the steering...
Yup - always gonna be the alternator- it could be a loose belt - a fooked battery or just simply the alternator broke. Get it sorted asap coz you dont want to get stuck on the motorway!
Ok, just want to do a few checks on my breaks to make sure they are in good condition, the mechanic it was with said they were fine but i want to make sure.....
Christ mate - thats awful. Mine was an attempted break in too. The door no longer sits flush with the body and the seal looks really lumpy - crpa really - can get new ones from renault tho i suppose which should make a pretty huge difference.
Started her up this morning and pulled away on my way to work. My road is on a decline hill and as i came to the junction at the bottom i started to stop. Foot on break pedal - nothing, sh*t! - press harder, starts to slow , really press hard and i eventually stop - after that it was fine. This...
Everyone has this prob mate it goes after 30mph no big issue - unless you are a perfectionist! My mate had a 300bhp pulsar gtir and the speedo didnt work full stop - now thats a problem!
Exactly! Think my dad was just trying to stop me from using his wax - burk! So once you have applied the wax and left it ten mins - when you take it off, it doesnt remove a layer of paint at all does it?
U wait till ure power steering starts to groan as you turn the wheel - and starts to drain power from the engine too much -then you will need it! And this WILL happen to your clio (unless you dont have power steering of course) ;)
Right, i was washing my car last night - used some turtle wax car shampoo and was then gonna wax it. Then my dad comes down stairs -
hope you arent going to use MY wax blah blah blah, paid good money, blah blah, buy your own you littel git, blah blah.
He also told me that if i wax my car...
Mine is standard too - including standard wheels (so no mess up in my speed reading) For some reason i have always been able to rev the nuts off mine - i know its not totally advisable - i find it helps a lot tho when you are racing someone and dont have to change gear when they do! it just...
Erm, i can actually get 70mph in 2nd - no im not lying - i do it all the time (well not all the time as my engine would probably get pissed off)
Ive havent taken her over 100 tho so i dont know the rest of the times. LAst time i told someone this, i got slated. But i aint lying.
Ever since i got mine my temperature guage would get very high as i was driving it about but as the speed rose it would cool as the wind was blowing in a cooling the engine. However, when i came to a stand still i had to put the heaters on full incase of overheating! Now that i have fiddled with...
