Hi Guys,
I'm new to the Clio Sport scene however I have been warned about the electrics on Renaults not being the best. So when I'm driving and apply the brakes or use my indicators the foglamp symbol appears and I have got out of the car to check and all the rear lights are having a little...
Managed to get front discs and pads switched over last night, along with new braided hoses (rear one were a bit messy!)
All I had to do this morning was borrow an Eezebleed and change & bleed the brake fluid.
Rears were fine, fronts not so much. Both bleed nipples were rusted and were already...
Recently just noticed on my mk3 clio that when I press the brakes whilst the engine is on for the first part of the brake movement there's an air sound? Is this something to be worried about or is it normal?
Alright fellas,
Getting a fair bit of juddering from my front brakes and now a squeal has started to develop as well, so im looking to change them.
Ive read that renault replacements are more expsensive than upgraded items now, so is it worth me upgrading to save a bit of money?
Im quite...

Good Morning Guys,

Hi guys. Had a problem with my clio for about a week now the abs has been kicking in at low speeds (abs light doesnt come on though) this caused me to bounce over a kerb yesterday so Iv taken my car into a garage. Theyv suggested that the rear brakes are to blame as they are knackered (theyr...
Hi all,
Looking to replace rear brake discs and pads in the next few days if possible as car is already in the garage.
Has anyone tried the K-Tec uprated rear brake kit? http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1574
Or are the OEM Renault ones the best, are the ones from Euro car parts...
Hi all, so when I took my clio for it's MOT in November last year, It failed as they said it needs new brake discs and pads. They changed them up for me and it passed but after a while they started squeaking when I brake. I left it to see if it would go away on it on after using them for a while...
Two modern cars, identical in every way except for the brake setup.
One has 4-pot calipers, bigger discs, larger swept area. The other has a standard single-piston setup.
Which one stops quicker?
Hi,
Does anyone know if the Clio 182 has an anti skid system ?
Basically the rear of the car when unsettled applied the brakes ... this was happening to me through paddock bend and entry into clearways and was really unsettling the car.
Anyone know of this ? Any pointers appreciated ...
Hi, hadn't had the best of look today but thought I might as well change my rear discs. I got them off easy enough checked to see if there was any spacers but there wasn't, put the new ones back on (got them from a local parts place) tightened up and wheel on then checked the play and there's...

cheers guys
I know this has been covered before- when I hit the brakes on the 182 the foglight flickers on the dash

Followed the correct bleed procedure farthest first etc. But maybe not level ground, kept res.full but I now have spongy brakes and a creaky pedal. Sounds like air- my biggest fear!
Any tips?
Since buying the car a couple of months ago I've always felt the brakes are weak.
Haven't driven it too much but took it out yesterday and put brakes to the test.
Definitely something wrong with them.
Peddle feel seems fine, not too hard or soft and is consistent. Peddle travel seems fine...
Right i am after some thoughts/advice on my front brakes on my 182.
it is purely for trackdays so no worries about road driving.
The story so far : had max hc discs with ds2500 lasted just over 3 track days good feel but lacked inital bite and faded a bit after 10 laps...
Front brakes squeak so loud I put my head down in embarrassment coming up to traffic...
Had them off used some brake cleaner on the disc and cleaned the pads then greased them up nicely but still they continue.
Here is a pic of the pad surface should new pads do the trick?
There yellow stuff...
this is a real stupid question im guessing so im prepared for the answers...
looking at changing rear disks,, ive seen some kits with bearings and some without.

I've recently replaced my rear brake calipers as the bleed nipples had snapped on old ones and so I couldn't bleed the system ( massive pedal travel previously aswell) even with multiple compressions on the brake pedal. How can I test the master cylinder? Is it normal not to have a servo on this...
Hello all, looking for an uprated option for my clio, im using 15" wheels and as its a mk1 with 172 widetrack there's no way I can run spacers. What options are there in terms of 4 pot calipers? I really likre my williams wherls and don't really want to go to 16" wheels as tyres are more...
