I've got a ph1 clio that i picked up as a shed for a bargain.
I've just done a track day a Cadwell park (yesterday) and really enjoyed it. Now the bug has bitten me i want to try and improve the car a bit for the next track day.
The car is completely standard apart from stripping out the rear...
What's peoples set up on track.
I'm going to book into blink in the next two weeks. I want a neutral car, I'm no race driver nor drift king. Think currently I have -1.5 camber on the front with -2 on the rear with shims. No white line rear bar. Have got toe out but can't remember how much. The...
I am new to the clio scene & some of my questions might seem silly but I am going to ask any way. I want to build a track/sprint car & would like to know if there is any difference between a. 182 shell & a basic two door model? I am stripping it all out anyway & only fitting the essentials after...

As some of you know, I had my first track day the other day at Curborough sprint course. It's a short course with nice and tight windys and only one main straight to get speed on. Absolutely loved the day and learnt a lot about my driving and the car and how it handles. Helmets weren't mandatory...
Just got a magic mouse to use with my MBP Retina, I'd been using an optical wireless mouse before.
The tracking speed is awfully slow, so I got MagicPrefs, and also got MouseZoom, and both on full is still quite slow - so I'm guessing I have an issue somewhere? I've gone into Terminal and used...
Anyone up for having a track day one weekend towards the end of this month or start of April? Just an idea was maybe thinking going down to three sisters and doing a few laps. If people are up for it pick a good date and time that would suit you and will work out best times for everyone once...
TRACK TROPHY 381 – PROGRESS TO DATE
Hi all, I have been mulling over doing a build thread from when I bought the Clio over a year ago, so I have finally decided to bore you with the car’s progress to date.
A quick photo below of it sitting ready to go for its 2015 track outings before I run...
Currently preparing my 172 Ph1 Clio for entering in the Scottish sprints this year, along with the odd hillclimb and trackday (particularly Knockhill and Superlap Scotland) Will be using it on the road also, although wont be my main car.

Hi everyone, as you may have guessed from my user name I used to have a megane trophy a few years back. Decided it's time to get a track toy so a Clio was an obvious choice for me. Thought I should sign up and do some research so here I am, back again!!
Hi All,
Thought id start a project thread so i can keep a track of the working thats going into my Monaco 172 track car. I purchased the car last year for a bargain price of £700! in full running order. The only issues where the drivers side passenger window and the interior fan not working...
So I went to get the tracking done today, and it couldn't be done due to the track rod end and ball joint needing replaced. Was going to have a bash at them myself, sadly I only have a four poster ramp and I've heard a lot of 'brute' force is required to get the pin out with the ball joint...
So had my tracking done yesterday and the car now seems more twitchy! Is anyone able to work out these following diagrams and see if it's all where it should be.
Cheers
Hi,
Bit of a newbie question
I've just bought a Ph2 172 and picked up a second set of wheels to put something more track orientated onto.
Both sets of wheels are standard 16's, the car currently has 195/45/16's, is it ok to run 205/45/16's as well ?
Also, what options are out there for track...
FINALLY! I've seriously missed having a car with speed since I broke my 182 in December 2013 and having built up a little bit of money over summer I decided it was time to take the plunge and get something for the track. I was looking for a 182 or 172 cup and after posting a wanted add @FLOBALOB...
only after something that will do the job at track to swap wheels over, so nothing prolonged, hopefully. I appreciate this has been covered a bit before but you guys will have bought/tried different ones etc. I spotted the sgs ones which are two tonne at 28 quid ish. People will mention the one...
I have an oil temp guage, albeit a quite cheap Spitfire analogue one, into a sandwich plate at the oil filter. I did a track day on Sunday and was getting temps ~120'C+, which surprised me, but I really don't know if that's normal or dangerous? What temps do you see?
Hoping to get a track car soon. Thought this would be the place to post but also for people to get ideas from in the future. I want to do track days as cheap as possible and do a few mods to make a car better. By cheap I mean less than £100
Enlighten me on what's good these days. I haven't had...
