More parts arrived and ordered foe the engine bay overhaul,

New bolts for the plenum as I learned my lesson last time about how easy they snap in half.... And nicer engine cover Allen key bolts,

And ordered muhself a complete set of ptfe gaskets for the inlet and throttle body

Next in line is a battery cover and also maybe a silver tow eye to add a little somethin to the front end

Not much to update on overhaul yet. Nearly finished painting the engine cover and ordered the standard 2.0 16v sticker to put back on, gunna order up a battery tray and itl ne good to fit, dunno which tray to get though

Finally got my Decat fitted.... Much loud.... Love it actually feels better too, and got the screenshots and numbers needed on the rs tuner to send away for a map and a license

Cheap Decat was cheap, had been warned about the Toyo Decat badly fitting but it seemed to be perfectly fine

How much did the RS Tuner set you back? What version did you get?

120 quid man its the latest firmware and Its also got an airbag module

Which in more current news wasn't really worth the extra for the module for me cause eine turned the airbag in the drivers seat off however I think it is the whole pretensioner is fucked and throwing up a code

Tempted to do the RS tuner myself, people speak highly of them. Just need a laptop!

A had to borrow a laptop for it but it's very easy to do, had to change my battery before mappin because it was giving out 11.8v which fastchip seen this on my rs tuner screenshot and advised me to get a battery before they confirmed my payment for the map file, hardest part of the whole thing was changing the battery haha, man hands are a curse!

There's far too much information being thrown about that people aren't sure of, it is simple o ce you actually get fastchips instructions, however my latest fault I'm trying to fix is rs tuner error showed me an error code for an open circuit fault on my driver side pretensioner, so I dunno of I need a new pretensioner or just to crimp the cables through St the plug

Swapped my 17's for a set of these probably for the mx5 but maybe a test fit to the clio haha

Ordered myself a polybush upper engine mount insert for 25 quid as I don't really want vibratechnic or ktec engine mounts, hopefully this is a decent compromise

Fitting that powerflex bush today for something to do! And maybe paint a couple wee bits for tidying up.

Had the car on the rollers at hq performance yesterday with the csoc guys and ran 147whp and 137 ftlb of torque

Eventually got round to fitting the tasted up engine bay bits today, cars hunting on idle and at about 2k just now so I'll have a look at thst tomorrow looks good though! Tow eye on aswell, going for a deep clean tomorrow! Or I might hold off for my car salon mystery box to come and see what's in that I can use haha!

A new coolant bottle and either polishing that inlet pipe or painting it black would finish that right off. Looks good other than that now I can see it properly on the PC!

Forgot to clean thay bit, noticed after taking pictures , black will be easier so probably black, and correct, the washer bottle is fuckin gantin



Aw and I need got a cheap set of 172 xenons, turns out one of the ballast support in the passenger side was fucked so tried to heat it up and forgot about it... So need a 172 passenger side xenon and have an awfy melty one if it's any use to anyone haha!

On another note just seen that cooksports are back in Stock so they've been ordered!! Fuckin apex pish can go to the scrap pile

Sorted the Rev hunting, the ptfe gasket on the oven outlet on the bottom of the plenum wasn't really doing anything, put the standard one back in there and it's all good! Clios driving well just now and it's great to see. Cooksports will be a great addition, ordered this morning and got a text saying they'll be here tomorrow!!

Clio will be getting a deep clean today and I'll FINALLY be fitting the polybush exhaust mounts as the rear standard ones I fitted are fucked already

Also fitted my homemade polybush exhaust mounts from a thread on here, sitting a wee bit high so I'll adjust the holes slightly sometime soon but it doesn't bounce about off the bumper any more! Severely happy with the clio just now
