Clio 172FF or 206 Gti 180

Sorry if this is in wrong section or has been posted before.

But which is a better car ?

Performance wise and overall ?

The 206 Gti 180 or the 172 FF ?

Both on about an 02 plate as i've been tempted to trade my clio in to get one but wandered if there is really much difference to my 172 FF(with decat stainless exhaust and uprated feed to k&n panel filter). :S

What you guys think ?

Your views/Comments appreciated cheers ;)

they look awesome, have a great interior and seats but aren't as good a car IMO, bring back the 205gti and you're laughing.

I've pissed on a few of them pretty easily in my 182

defo no, it may have a little more power but alot more weight, also they dont put there power down well and dont have a 5k kick like a clio.

But you have a 182 (about 179-180bhp, that most get) and there a Gti 180.

Would the not give ya a good go ?

Unless there power is slightly under standard claims too :S

How much heavier are they ?

Don't they have vvti or something ?

Which is not similar to our 5k kick aint it ? :S

P.s I'd ask on peugeot forums but they'd obviously favour the 206. ;)

no, its not only about the horsepower....

this is the weight of a 206 RC 177pk :whole empty 1059 kg

Clio weight is 1010kg whole empty

would be the same as a normall 172, all of them are different, if you have had it from new and kept under 4k revs or have ad it from new and driven it hard then it will be quicker.

just depend on the clio but as a all rounder the clio would be quicker, in a straight line and round a track.

ive owned both. and the clio is twice the car the 206 is, horrible box, crap gearing, sounds not so good, handling isn't anywhere near as good as the 172 and the seats might look good but the sides are totally soft. Only thing that is better is the seating position is a little lower. ride is also horrific, probs due to the massive wheels. Speed wise there isn't a great amount in it but the clio (same mileage) felt quicker.... and was a lot more confident driving it.

Argh the good old 206 GTi 180, the car that made me leave Pug after being a big fan for years ....

Well to the 180, ummm it has nice seats.
