Clio Rush 1.2 8V 2005 5dr (None Sport)

I'm starting new project thread because my old one got abused and it's full of spam and rubbish. My old thread will be closed and deleted soon. I bought my first Clio in July 2013 and I have got in plans several modifications to improve the look of the car and not performance. I'm aware that the car might not match the taste of most of the users.

Car looked like this when i bought it.

My clio doesnt have rear door speakers so i took my tools and went to have a look if there is any space to fit some. I took the door panel off and found a nice speaker mount but no wiring. I'm going to put there 6.5 Alpine SPG 2-way speakers and wire them to the amp in the boot. Same amp will power up two 6x9 3-way Alpine SPG speakers that will be on the custom made parcel shelf. In the boot 2 two 10" subwoofers but budget ones Alpine VR MaxMusic 300W and JBL 250W for now till I will have money for decent 12". All will be powered up by two BOSS 4-channel amps and two 3 farad power caps. Budget ICE but should put a smile on my face, those are plans for the future.

Looks like you're having fun with this one.

Just a thought - your first thread was abused predominantly by sport owners, now this being ClioSport.net, aren't you pitching this to the wrong audience? Surely a modified car forum or similar would have more time and affection for this? I think you'll struggle to get much more than abuse second time round. As I said, nothing wrong with what you're doing and for me it's great that it's making you happy - just can't see this thread on this forum giving you any joy.

Stay cool mate.

Thanks for your input mate. Well there is plenty none sports here that are being modified. Clio is a clio if you trully love them there is no difference between rs, trophy or rush, same car different specs. This time it's going to be different i wont be responding to any rude posts and report them for removal. I hope it will be an example for people that owe none sport Clios. I'm really going to enjoy this.

Completely wrong - Cliosport houses many Clio's that aren't sports - and even more cars that aren't even Clio's now-a-days!

It's a tough community for newcomers if it doesn't have Silvervisions and Turinis, but if you can put up with it, it's well worth it!

I like what you've done with the speakers on the fronts, they look tidy and oem-like, the rest of the mods aren't my cup of tea (style of alloys or the DRL's) - but each to their own!

Totally agree. I wasn't disputing the number of non-sport owners, but as I said there was little evidence of them on his first thread. Good luck to the fella.

Time for a little update. Joined ClioSport.net Club and waiting for my welcome pack :) I changed my mind about painting the exterior trim / moulding in blue electric metallic, all the black plastic bits including: side strips, door handles, mirrors, front/back bumper moulding, spoiler will be wrapped in Black 4D Carbon Vinyl. Bullets will be sanded smooth and wrapped in Blue Electric Metallic 4D Carbon Vinyl along with front and rear badge. That's the goal for now. All the necessary bits are already ordered off eBay which costed me 42£ including: 500ml IPA in spray, 2000 grit sanding paper and 3M squeegee.

Bullets done. Removed the 1.2 logo, sanded them down and cleaned with Fairy soap. Now need to wait for IPA and 2000 grit sanding paper to wet sand them again, clean, degrease and apply the vinyl.
