considering williams to trophy/182cup next year

been thinking i want a newer car and in an ideal world i would keep the williams3 and buy a cup next year (prob 172 if i had both) but i dont think i can afford that really, so thinking of poss geting a 182 cup for abt 9/10k or poss a trophy depending on how prices drop. will be next summer prob. anyone had a trophy and a willy

Get a Cup or a Trophy. There is life after the Williams!! I'm not saying they're any better, but certainly offer a worthy alternative if your after a newer car.

They drive differently than the Williams. The trophy is quite light on the back end I find compaired to my Williams but thats got coilovers. The 182 has a bit more keeness to go netral or understear. ALthough it depends how you drive.
The extra torque and power is good my WIlliams may have a smuch power but with the cams its high up 172/182 have all that nice low end stuff.
I think I'd go for a 182 full faty change the wheel or least get 4 pots to keep the brakes cool and get coilovers which will give the potential of the torphy all the toys and maybe a bit less feeling or lack of grip at the back (it might just be a lack of trust not a lack of grip on the trophy)

I'd go for a Trophy myself.

Some reason, I'm quite liking Iceburg Silver 172 mk2's at the moment.. and they're getting cheaper - so one of them as well as your Williams.
