Cooksport’s Forged Megane Mk2.
Cooksport have built a range of Renaultsport road and race cars, but we have never really showed our work on this forum. As some of you may know, Cooksport currently maintain and support car number 66 in the 2012 Elf Clio Cup Championship. Once we returned from the ring, it was time to take this a little further. So first off was an engine build, other than the usual preparation the Megane engine had the following:
(sorry about the poor iphone picture)
This is how the car stayed for a good 6 months; it was running approx. 380bhp with similar torque at 1.3 bar. Full boost was by 3500rpm and pulled the whole way to 7800rpm.
For more pictures of the engine build and fabrication from the first forged engine, check our Facebook page out. We don’t want to clutter this thread up too much .
More interesting posts will follow....
