This weekend I was back at my parents house for my Sisters birthday bbq party.

It mainly consisted of preparing for Blyton park next week.

On saturday morning I had my alignment. They knew all about the crash and spotted this on the rear carrier to the beam. If you look closely at the right of the bracket you can see how it's shiny and clean as it's slide during the impact. We loosened the carrier bolts and slid it back into place :)

Random pic of the car coming out.

Then today I have removed the front pads and ground the tabs down a bit as they were absolutely stud solid in the carriers before. Now they move freely which is good.

Also i've raised my seat and moved it forward by using some aluminium plate. It feels so much better to drive now as i'm not reaching UP for the steering wheel. My head is also level and im not tilting my head back to see over the dash lol. This is all because I removed my runners and they are around 30mm in itself.

Then took some random pics on the way home. I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly need to clean it on the inside and out before Blyton.

Thanks for the likes peeps.

Did a little something tonight, just for a finishing touch really. My harness toggle pull things were fading badly. It's so hard to capture it.

And now they look like this. Again it's hard to capture it but in the background you can see how it actually looks. it's luminous yellow! WOOOOO. Also was only £5 for three from the range.

Love it dan, nice little touch there blud.

Cracking stuff bud. Such a tidy Clio

If I could make a suggestion with cam, have you tried mounting it above the X of the roll cage?
You have it below, if it was above you'd sacrifice a bit of sky out of the windscreen view, but you'd gain more track, see the kerbs etc and see more of your steering wheel etc. May be worth trying both options on the road to test before track.

I used a similar mount point in my Clio at blyton and it makes for great footage!

Looks so good, looking forward to having a proper look at the weekend

Thanks Ethan, definitely! Come for a passenger ride if you're there in the morning.

It's all in the details. Can't wait to see it in the metal, and maybe ride shotgun a few laps?

Of course dude, will talk to you at the services on the m180!

I'll post what I did today. It consisted of making brake ducts for my fog lights with inspiration from @RyG

Removed the original fogs

20160701_113726_zpsl7sslitj.jpg

Then these 100mm bass ports have to be fitted inside the original housings

One in and one out

20160701_120327_zpsrsetqh7m.jpg

20160701_120331_zps7xihte8z.jpg

I relocated my horn above too to allow maximum air flow

20160701_121827_zpsymevwz72.jpg

Both fitted

20160701_143728_HDR_zpseiimmzuv.jpg

I had to remove the carbon cannister from the offside. Thanks to @JP83 for the help on that one.

I just simply looped the carbon cannister pipe to the acoustic valve pipe as they both aren't needed as seen here

20160701_152816_HDR_zpsyqndukpc.jpg

I then made some brake deflectors by using some sheet steel bending it and drilling it. Painted it black

20160701_154232_zpsm0eynyx4.jpg

20160701_154252_zpscuce1yxe.jpg

Got no ducting though as I didn't have enough time to sort that out but the air flow looks like it should hit them nicely

20160701_154252_zpscuce1yxe.jpg

I then cleaned Boris

All ready for the festival tomorrow. Can't wait to meet those who comment on here who I haven't properly met yet!

See you tomorrow x

The car is looking great Dan, any closer to finding out who hit the back wheel?
Hope all goes well this weekend at CSF.

And everyone look after him

Stole some pics from you matty haha.

And regarding track time, that was mega fun! To behonest I was taking it steady-ish as I was on mis matched tyres on the rear so it was incredibly sketchy as per the video below! I didn't get a single bit of understeer though at all so it's well set up. Really am happy with it so much its just the tyres letting it down.

One thing also actually, managed to get my brakes too hot again :( the cold feed didn't work really. My pedal kept going squishy, thats with ATE supergold stuff too! I think I actually need to direct a pipe to the wind deflectors. Anyway, just a little clip of the lift off I was experiencing from the shite tyres on the back! Mega mega fun to control though and made me learn about the car and its limits even more so.

Thanks to the guys who made the weekend especially @jaswalker24 @leeds2592 @Alistair14 @JP83 @Bear Head @Matty1303 @Steven103 who we camped with

Sack the ATE fluid off and get Motul 600/660.

It changed the pedal feel on mine a lot, i recovers well after letting the car cool after track days too whereas ATE used to stay spongy for ages.

Yes it's expensive, but it works

They're not s**t pads, it's just that it's easy to get to the limit of them on the Clio.

Sub 1000kg cars they're fine.

My car weights 875kg, they're not fine. ds2500s shouldn't be taken on track unless on a parade lap. They're alright as a (much as I hate the term) fast road pad.
