Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
New headunit fitted, cheapest one i could find of course with aux. Nice to have a flush fitting radio which works!
Replaced the boot lock mechanism due it not locking for past 3 months! nice simple fix consisting of 3 bolts
Then i took a trip to see Rhys Beal to pick up my old spare wheel that he has had sitting in my garage since breaking the ph1. It doesnt match the rest at all but im not bothered if it gets me out of the s**t.
Then after a light night thrashing of the car i had a engine management light on. After about a month of this i decided to buy a cheap code reader for £15 off ebay. Error was the lambda sensor so i reset it and it hasnt appeared since. Guessing it doesnt need changing as its still getting decent MPG.
So thats 4months worth of problems sorted in a week so the car is officially ready for the ring trip in a few weeks. Anything else done before that is just an added bonus.
Spotted an OMP trecento wheel for sale on here so snapped that up. Its 300mm so rediculously small but exactly the same as what I ran in the PH1, all ive done since having a car with standard wheel/seats is moan that I cant get the position right for me so hopefully problem solved.
Ph1 stalk fitted courtesy of Rhys so I have a working horn.
Fitted with an OMP boss, much better IMO.
Which plug am i fitting the resistor too? Stumped by this as only one plug on the ph1s.
Few random whoring pics of it in its battered glory.
Next up.
Sun strip
New splitter
Bucket seat (after having it 5months!)
White line arb.
After than the car will be pretty much upto spec of the my old clio but with an epic engine and heavier, for now.
And yes i know my updates/total lack of pictures suck.
