Driveshaft + boot reinstallation + yellowish stuff dripping

  BG 182 FF
Was under the car today to replace the NSF ball joint. Stuff happened, including the right driveshaft dislocating and killing the boot (pic 1). Really not having an easy time getting it back in. How much of a pain is this gonna be? the ball joint isn't even lining up to go back in the hub but i suspect that'll be easier once the driveshaft and consequently hub are further in.

Also noticed a damp patch on the ground and saw, in pic 2 and 3, some liquid dripping (not actively dripping but the dew was there) from what I'm guessing is the gearbox or a related part. Green stuff on that electrical connector (top right of pic 2) doesn't look so fun either, google says that's likely coolant?
any kind of thoughts and input on what im looking at and what i'm gonna have to do to remedy everything are welcome.
