pmsl all of the above that film ruined the cred of the r5 gt but on a serious note maybe try disconnecting the dogbone mount gb end adjusting the collar on the box to the correct position (if ther is one on the ph2?) SUPPORT ENGINE! loosen upper gb and drivers side engine mounts and levering the engine with a long bar as far forward as engine will go on both mounts being careful of ps pipes both sides nip all mount bolts tight, when upper mounts are torqued to finish use the bar to get engine inplace to refit dogbone should sort it

Interesting read. coming from a 1.2 and being young i had the same problem. i used to drive like an arse in my 1.2 but soon realised after a month of the 172 it ain't Worth it and you don't need to keep you right foot on the floor all the time. my first mods, i changed to ktec mounts and power flex dogbone bushes i don't have the problem any more. main reason being the change of driving style but the mounts help. the advise people are giving is correct.

i thought this was supposed to be a friendly site haha.... the ones that dnt sensibly answer obiously aint got lives and only give it over the internet lol.... i dont like wheel spinning i try not to but my car in 1st i do control the initial pull off but as soon as the vvt kicks in it does that juddering i have ps3 tyres on too... maybe i need to upgrade engine mounts and a few bits i only wanted to know wat bits...

Nice to see you admit you were wrong though. Now in all seriousness, get the K-Tech mounts BUT before you do that. Loosen the upper engine mount bolts, pull the engine forward and tighten the bolts back up. Might solve your problem. Solved mine.

Powerflex mounts and have a wee check around all the joints & even check the driveshafts/top mounts are ok
