Lightweight battery mounting

I've got one of these on order:

But just wanted to know has anyone mounted a race type battery successfully using the existing mounting plate? Any issues with laying it on it's side?

Mine is fitted with heavy duty velcro under the passenger seat. I have the same battery on its side.

Thanks mate. Any issues with the battery? It's going to be used daily so hopefully will keep charge.

With constant use it's fine. My only suggestion (probably too late now) is go for the gel version of the same battery. They don't mind going flat.
