Yesterday was absolutely fantastic at Llandow, I completely loved every second of the day.
I had been close to selling the car quite a few times, looking to sell some parts from her, and generally just giving up. I'm so glad I stuck it out and kept the car, along with the track day itself. It was my first ever day out on track and I feel as though I did pretty well, heck, to be honest there wasn't a whole load of cars overtaking me!
I'm very happy with the current setup, and considering most of the jobs were done by myself, it really does feel good. My only critique for myself was that I hadn't gained the confidence in late braking, which don't get me wrong, is nothing to be rushed. I feel as though in a lot of circumstances I was braking too early, and not using the full pedal.
If anyone's in the same position as me, I can't urge you enough to take the plunge and get out there. I've never pushed the car that hard, and I've never enjoyed myself more while behind the wheel.
I think I may book Llandow again on the 8th of October, or considering that's my Birthday, an idea for the parents!
