The 172 is fully repaired now. Ive got plans to lower it and tint the windows. How low do you think i should go? Any advice on tints? I also need to sort a direct cold air feed to the air intake as it is not getting enough cool air.

16s look small with that kit! Maybe some bigger wheels first. Get some coilovers then you can adjust the height to your liking.

I didnt want to go higher then 16s because i didnt want to kill the acceleration and handling. I was thinking of going for a approx. 35mm drop on springs until i get enough cash for coilovers. The front bumper is quite low tho!

I agree with geordiepaul, 16s just somehow dont look right with that kit, need some bigger alloys on it.

And then lowered of course.

what are the best coilovers for the mk1? i think im going to stay with the 16s for the moment.

Thanks Harry

nice car...is this the car that had quit bad front damage? if so looks very good.

well ithink thos wheels look nice i know what others say bout 17" as it would look very nice, but them wheels look very good get some 40mm apex springs cheap and lower nicely, till you get coilovers same route as iv taken! if you was to change intake get a hole new filter like (viper, BMC,itg or others)

hope this helps. i can get you a good price on them springs + filters if you like?? PM me

I reckon 17" Turinis would suit your V6 bumper kit.

Lowered around 40-50mm on coilovers.

How about some colour coding too?

I like the look of this, i think i may have to change to 17 inch white turinis when funds allow and slam it on coilovers.

Yh this is the one that has had front damage, i think i might go for apex springs until i can afford anything else, what are they like for ride quality/handling?

Apex springs do a great job on mine. slammed into the weeds and not too hard although im running Koni top adjustables and there on there softest setting
