Be some crappy old volvo...C63 next?
Yeah, parcel force 24 hrs was more 120hrs .At least the backboxes turned up before the car went?
At least they arrivedYeah, parcel force 24 hrs was more 120hrs .
Yeah, I’m hoping that’s what will happen.Fit them, disregard the "teething issues" and enjoy it.
I'm sure all will be forgotten when it sounds like it's come from the depths of hell.![]()
Except they don't usually break immediately and leave you with a massive bill£1500 loss in two weeks.
It’s like buying a new car from the show room!
True, you just lose 2k in depreciation.Except they don't usually break immediately and leave you with a massive bill
Too many. I think I prefer driving the old shitters though.how many motors have you possessed ?
Sold it for what I paid. Shame I’d spent £900 on it.You did well to shift it so fast.
Sold it for what I paid. I reckon I could have got 14k if I’d of held out but the love wasn’t there.Have you ever had a build thread more than a month long? ? In all seriousness I feel your pain with buying a car then having issues it can really spoil it for you.
Hope it wasn’t too big a loss, great car but like you say niche market so I imagine you took a hit to get it gone.
Something cheap. I’ve come to the conclusion that I much prefer fast motorbikes to fast cars.whats next?

I’ve got the fastest road legal bike in the world. When are you buying a fast bike? ?
he did do, sold it nowWhen are you buying a fast bike?![]()
Is that so you can buy it after a month? ???When are you buying a fast bike? ?
Safety first! He came straight from work.Is that guy in a hi-vis?
Shame. I quite liked this thing!!! Although with regards to the £900, im not sure you can blame the car for that ...Sold it for what I paid. Shame I’d spent £900 on it.
Ok, that is annoying, but these things often happen with buying someone elses car, as they are quite often selling it due to issues, so in effect you needed the garage to do the following: "Clean the throttle body and map sensor and reset all the pins" ...all of a sudden it went into limp mode.
The drop link was knocking like buggery so needed doing.Shame. I quite liked this thing!!! Although with regards to the £900, im not sure you can blame the car for that ...

What you didnt need doing, but had done anyway, which is most likely what has left a bad taste in your mouth is the following:
Drop links
Alignment
New leds in the lights
New transponder thing for the leds
Some torque bush thing for the propshaft
A new key
s**t loads of labour
None of that sh1t needed doing to fix a misfire, but is exactly what happens when a car gets left at a garage for them to "have a look over"
I look forwards to the next Volvo 340 thread.
Back to volvos for me! Never lost a dime on one!I know I said that, if you bought a big V8, it would be sold again pretty soon, but this is a bit more extreme than even I expected![]()
Bad man. You sold him a lemon.Just heard from the new owner that the car has gone into limp mode.
I feel bad but genuinely thought it had been fixed! It should have been fixed for the money I spent!!!
