PH1 Flamer.

It's two 90 degree silicone hoses and what looks like an ITG filter, eBay for two silicone hoses around £20-30 then an ITG fitter for about £50

Yea just quickly looked on eBay and can do it for 90 quid!

Lol!

That's not even trade prices that K-Tec would get to then sell on, fair enough making a profit but £150 is taking the piss!

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
it's a single hose for a start, with a breather take off built in, and the insides of the filter are the clever bit. It's definitely not an ITG (LOL!!!!)

Single hose?

Even if you did it with a samco/forge hose with take off and a hard pipe, which would look better, it would still be just on the £100 mark.

What's so special about the filter then? And what make is it?

Ths was an early prototype

So far I see no facts.

To me that's an ITG filter with base sprayed black.

I genuinely cannot see it making a difference of what filter it is down in that part of the engine bay.

Took the car out for a proper drive this morning, with all the suspension setup and the extra power/revs it made me usual back road hack a brilliant drive.
Not having the car for the week made me forget how much i love this thing,

Got a quick speedo video on the way back on a straight empty road, surprisingly hard to drive when you have a mobile phone taped to the steering wheel.
(probably best to put it in higher quality if you want to actually see the dials)

From the graphs I have seen with that induction set up,peak figures are good but it seems to loose you a fair amount of torque in the mid range, would only fit one if you are obsessed with the peak figure if your car.

Glad your happy with your car Dan,will be interesting to see what it makes on FMS rollers now, that's if they are still operating, went there the other week and looked like they may have closed.

Out of interest what did yours run at FMS? Be gutted if they closed down, they were brilliant at the rolling road day, proper nice blokes!

On the graph it gains torque throughout most of the rev range, and the power gain is up top with the induction.

Bottom one is before being mapped but with the cams in, they stopped the test at just after 6k due to overfueling or something, im not 100% sure.
Middle lines my current setup unsure why it drops like that at the end as the car holds power all the way through to the top.
And the top line is with the ktec induction setup.

I spoke to someone yesterday that said the guy there now works at Scholar

Mine ran 178bhp and 150 ft/lbs at fms,but my dephaser was fooked if you remember, did 190 bhp and 165 ft/lbs at TDF after they had fixed the dephaser,I think it should have done better as the car has not felt right ever since I got it back, put a decat pipe on the car yesterday and found that the sports cat is fubared, car is much more responsive now and feels much better,be interesting to get it back on there rollers to see if it makes a bit more power now.

I tried to ring FMS earlier, and couldnt get through.

I couldnt remember what was wrong with it but knew something wasnt right. Ill probably do an evening at Snetterton later this year if your up for it? also wish i had of spotted your 888's for sale, would of snapped them up straight away!

  KTM 990 SD / S60 D5
888's are very good, but if you use them to there full potential the fronts will only last about 2 track days, mine had 4mm on the them and I totally trashed the offside front in one day at snetterton, makes track days silly expensive.

Will at Snetterton on june the 14th,its a evening one with javelin.

the tyre in question

The other front didn't fair much better

My parada spec 2's lasted a lot longer, not as grippy but half the price, going to try some AD08'S next hopefully they will be a happy medium.

They did take a battering! Ill try get booked onto that one nearer the time too, seems like ages since ive been on track :(

The federal RSR's that I ran on track held up really well, and are pretty good in the rain too.
Not as much of a track dedicated tyre as i thought though, so will probably get something a bit more hardcore for the my spare set of F1's later in the year.

Cool should be there with a few mates in some quick cars, trying to convince my mate to bring his mark 5 R32 turbo.(460bhp 620 nm)I think there are only about 5 in the country.

That's the one,has had ££££££'s spent on it,we were having a power race when I had my S4,the S4 was quicker,just.

These turned up this week,

Ktec solid enigne mounts second hand, fire extinguisher that I got from work and some p-clips to tidy up some wires.
IMG_1342.jpg

Quick release bumper off in about 90seconds.
IMG_1345.jpg

Old engine mount split in two, always had a slight knocking from the engine mount but wasn't aware it was that f**ked untill Dan @ 519 told me
IMG_1346.jpg

New engine mount, swapped out in about 15minutes. Also painted the cam cover bit whilst it was off.
Can also see my lovely AST top mounts too!
IMG_1349.jpg

Next up was the gearbox mount, after pestering DannyR by text i soon realised i was doing it wrong.
Un mounted the whole battery tray and bracket to the gearbox, got a electric impact gun from my Dad's work and got it swapped over, havent got a picture of the old one but it was in a bad state also.
Gave it a quick spray which soon got coated in crap from my grubby little mits.
IMG_1352.jpg

After that i decided I would spray the top of my engine as the whole thing was once painted by someone by brush with black. Tidied it up nicely :)
Can also see my new coolant bottle i got a few weeks back as the old one was weeping coolant.
I forget to get picture of it all back together. Just need to remove the nasty carpet at the back of the engine and fit something better.
IMG_1351.jpg

Got my F1's back from a mate who had been borrowing them, ive decided in the future I will get them refurbed anthracite and run road tyres on them. Keeping the williams with the federals purely for track.
IMG_1353.jpg

Mounted the fire extinguisher under the passenger seat, I also used the p-clips to hold the wires in place down the side of the car as i removed the plastic trim and sprayed it black (no pics of this)
IMG_1356.jpg

Then did this :(
IMG_1350.jpg

Pic of the car from a meet the other week :)

Car feels so good to drive now its all coming together! Really am in love with the little thing and cant wait for more track time to abuse it.
Also I agree with people about not fitting solid mounts to cars due to vibration, my car is pretty empty and basic so it doesn't bother me, but it was shaking abit whilst sitting at traffic lights.

Plans for the rest of the year.
Nurburgring in 20days.
Get another couple of track days in.
Refurb alloys anthracite with decent road tyres.
Get aluminium bonnet sprayed and fit aero catches, lose the slam pannel etc and a few other bits.
Maybe get a new front bumper to get sprayed at the same time as the clips are dead on mine, and i mounted my aero catches quite far back so it doesn't sit to well lol.
Get grill sprayed and wing mirrors sprayed.
Get front carbon door cards from the group buy. Fit manual windows at same time.
Safety devices 6 point cage.
Rear 3 poly carb windows.
Get the interior sprayed properly and lose extra weight.
Oil cooler.

Sounding and looking all rather good Dan :)

You should just go for front polycarbs too with a slider like I am going for, and even better order on the same batch as mine to save £10 postage!!!

  Trafic 140dci
Looks good, engine bay is looking loads tidier, with regards to poly carbs I'm only getting the rear 3, if you roll it you can't brake the glass to get out!

As ive owned the car for a year now, i thought it was time the wheels changed again, 4th set so far.

After Lewis offered me a deal i couldnt refuse i headed to Norwich via DannyR's to get some tyres. Got epicly lost which wasnt fun.
Parade spec 2's pinched the pic off lewis.
download1-6.jpg

This week i started refurbing my wheels, got the tyres fitted this morning for £30 inc balancing which wasnt to bad :)
Few wheels drying out.
IMG_0005.jpg

One finished wheel, as you can see the face of the wheel is pretty rough. The wheels need hours spent on them to get them back to being perfect, lots of chips, curb marks and various other damage.
I wasnt bothered about getting them perfect, ive never painted wheels before and managed to do this set using left overs from the past year. Cost me £12 to get some more black paint, so pikey refurb!
IMG_0001-1.jpg

I also got the swager thing from lewis, so attacked the rear pannel of my car today with the whole saw, mainly because it looks awesome lol.
I know the bottom hole in the line is not lined up with the others, had a bit of a moment.
I will paint the interior again when back from the ring, no point doing it yet!
IMG_0003-2.jpg

Ill get some pics of the F1's on tomorrow (front only ). I will be running these to Germany in 2 weeks time on the front, and i will chuck the williams in the back as they are scratched to hell so im not worried about them getting damaged.
