on the way back from work friday morning, heard a thud, thought what the fcuk was that, lost all power, dash lit up like a xmas tree.
This was on a duel carriageway, so i pushes it into a side street industrial estate, aa man comes, does some checks,he says cam belt aint snapped but its all out of line and think he said something about pullys being fooked,
dont know yet exactly how much damage has been done but im setting up for a nice big bill for a new head etc....

really isnt what i wanted this side of xmas!!!!

its an 03 plate on 52k!!!

bro in law is fixing it, just phoned me an said £150+ for parts, then the price of the head to be fixed if needed aswell

something on the pully has crumbled causing it to jump a tooth, i really hope it aint damged too much.

anyone got any ideas how much it should cost to get it all put back right again as my mrs is talking of getting rid of it instead of fixing it now!!!!

And that is one of the reasons why I'm selling my shed. Had it for 7 months, nothing but trouble. Probably go for a mk1 golf gti next, mate of mine has one, and hasn't had any probs with it. The handling on it is superb is also!:)
