Mrs asked what I want from Christmas, so does anyone have a link please to buy impact wrench for working on car, most common being swapping wheels, only ever used hand tools like a caveman so first red purchase could be this.

Is this a decent deal, or should I look at different model? https://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/mi...8-stubby-impact-wrench-kit-inc-2x-2-0ah-batts
That's really quite cheap! I think that's a good deal. If you can find a deal where you get the 6amp battery too it makes the gun more powerful.

You can't go wrong with the stubby though

I have this gun, it's absolutely brilliant will happily remove the front hub nuts on the Clio so more than powerful enough for wheel nuts etc.

My current Impact is this

It's old and beginning to show its age and lack of power in comparison to the newer guns.

Mid torque Fuel looks a decent upgrade without spending loads
Is that the one that's around £170? Got a link?

I was going to say spend the little extra at £200 for the high torque but it can be quite cumbersome and it's not very often my go to tool. Infact out of them all it's probably my least used tool.

The lighter tools are always great to use!

This one

The high torque is a bit more

Can't see me ever needing that much but always that what if...

I got a couple of those empty boxes at work I was going to chuck in the bin. If I can find them out, do you want them?

alright perverts. Need some recommendations.

Im after a standard drill and impact wrench for the garage to get me started. Previous drill was w**k and died recently. Keep looking at Ryobi as I like the variety of tools you can get (shop vac, hedge trimmer, vibrator etc) with the same battery. Budget of about £200 (maybe £250).

Suggestions on a postcard. Ta. x

Thing is, ive not got a lottery ticket. Also, im rarely gonna be using these. Im just pissed off with getting the torque wrench out every time. Lazy I know. Shortly we are gonna be putting a ford back together and I wanna be able to give some bolts the old dak dak sauce

Nah no lotto wins, I just started buying and selling s**t🤣

All my profits go towards holidays, tools, PC stuff and cars🤣 I would never go back to using hand tools for some jobs now, I'd rather spit my c**k down the middle with an M12 pipe cutter🤣

My ryobi stuff is alright tbh. The 5.0ah battery transformed the ugga dugga so I would take that into account as well.
The Ryobi stuff does seem decent value for the hobbyist kind of market. Love the Makita stuff & Milwauke but theyre so expensive. Can get a Impact Wrench, Drill and battery for the same price as just one Milwauke bit :/

the thing that gets me about the milwauke stuff is that it looks like they would survive a nuclear war

Just seems a shame to spend all that on something I might only use once in a while

I see what you're saying but you will probably go out and find random things to take to bits with it🤣🤣
