Price for Trophy

Looking to buy an 05 Trophy, noticed the price on Parkers guide is only £9,315 for a 2.0 16V Renaultsport Trophy (182bhp) 3d with 10000 miles, the one I'm interested in has done 30000 miles so with the milage adjustment of 55 quid per thousand miles that's onle £8,215. Surely that's not right? Also What Car price guide is £8,195 for private sale. Has something happened recently to affect the second hand price of these cars (maybe in May?)

Also how can I tell whether the vehicle is an import?

Was only 50 trophies made for outside this country so your safe on the import front.

Not sure bout the value though, seems very low for what it is.

It would make common sense to do a HPI on ANY car you're thinking of buying/looking at. Regardless of price.

The prices I quoted were the Parkers and What Car valuations for a Trophy of that age and milage for private sale. The car I'm interested in is more like 10 grand! I didn't know if they were asking too much compared to the guide price...

Best find out the number of it. Plate on Drivers seat, and check it against the register on www.cliotrophy.co.uk.

Ask around on there too, mightbe an existing members car.

Some still go for around 11k. Tbh parkers isn't always that accurate.

Trophy values are dropping slightly... i'd expect you to be paying £10-£11k privately or from a specialist... maybe slightly less depending on mileage. £11k is top top price though for a mint low miler...

What parkers says and the true price of a car can vary drastically!! use it as a guide only and see what other cars are being advertised at.

Forget looking at parkers, whatcar & even glasses as there is no rated value.

As these mainly only have values for the 'cup' which the trophy is based on.

£10 - 12K is where they are at present, but as always condition & demand may alter this. It's not like loking for a FF as there aint that many out there.

As for imports they are all (500) uk cars apart from the swedish ones.

If you find a 'good' one buy it
