Productive day out at Danlp6's place yesteday afternoon with a couple of my clios.

With a banging headache from lack of sleep and from 6 hours solid mapping 4 different cars in a very noisey dyno sell on saturday I really wasnt feeling up for much on sunday afternoon but had quite a lot to get done.

So up stepped Danlp6 and Lesley to help me out.

Me and Lesley drove the mk1 and the turbo over to Danlp6's place and she swapped the bottom arms on my turbo, and did the tracking on it using an old school line and rulers setup kindly lent to us by Josh Cook (aka Cooksport) and Dan changed the gearbox on my mk1 for a Quaiffe diffed one.

I had a lazy afternoon passing the odd tool about and not having to do much at all. I could get used to that, lol

The mrs said she MUCH prefers working on a ramp like she was yesterday, TBH Im so used to the driveway or a normal garage that it doesnt really bother me these days, but a ramp is still a nice to have.

Problem is now having somewhere with enough height to fit one though

I did mate, but sadly he has a misfire at 6500rpm or so (crank sensor signal it would appear), so we mapped it with the limiter at only 6300rpm to keep below that which meant he only made 340bhp or so, but that'll do for now and we can find the other 100 or so when we go next, at least he has something he can use now.

All 3 of my clios have cylinder heads she built, same for the Saab engine turbo engine in my nova, I do the bottom ends and she does the top ends normally when we build an engine, we work as a bit of a team like that.

I tend to do more of the mechanical stuff though like suspension etc and she does all the detailing, but she likes doing suspesnion stuff when she is on a ramp not lieing under a car on the driveway knackering her back.

Sadly it's a bit too keen to spin up really. I need to get him to wire in the boost control senior to aux 1 out on the omex so I can map his boost based on throttle angle like my Clio turbo.

Brakes, inc fluid. Tracking. Oil/filter. Plugs, Leads Coil pack/injectors, off the cup incase this intermittent misfire decides to come back again.

No worries with doing yours though mate, I enjoyed it tbh.

It's finding the few hours to do it Need to scrap the cupra shell this week. aswell as get the 044 off it still.

I could well end up with another, but I have too many cars as it is and the gf still doesnt understand my love for them as it is lol.

Yes I modified them for more caster and it drove really well but it meant I couldnt fit 205 tyres on anymore.
So gone to the later/cup spec ones which are about halfway between standard phase 1 and the modified ones I made.
