Though it was about time i started a project thread, something i can keep updating when new things are done.
To bring people up to the present day
After the Punto GT died, i thought id go for something a little more, reliable maybe? Something that could handle. Looked at various things, Type r, etc. But the 172 really did it for me. For the money, it seemed a bargain.
Travelled to sheffield to pick this up, completely standard.
First mod was a viper IK, but that seemed to be worse than the standard box, so was removed about a week later.
Next came a smaller aerial from an s2000
Then team dynamics pro race 1.2s for £200 :evil:
Then it was lowered fitted with new badges, and ring bound
After the ring had fooked my brakes, i decided on some 4 pots
HiSpec 300mm discs, 4 pot calipers and braided lines
Standing so far
ITG maxogen fitted- £400`s worth, got it for £190
Decat was then fitted, but i decided i wanted more. So purchased an OMP group N race exhaust
Fitted
Mixed feelings on the zaust, but MEH! It sounds awesome!
Next came some PTFE gaskets, these helped to reduce inlet temps very well.
Next i moved onto handling, bought some solid top mounts from middo
Improved the steering feel :0
Coilovers then arrived
Slammed
Camber
Bought a shiney header tank from ebay, and replaced the ITG with a standrd PH1 air filter-
Decided i was going to spray my rear badges after someone had mentioned it, took the rear Clio badge off no problems, but the Reanault Sport decided to break, so ive left it off
