Right price for a 197?

My dad Looked at an Albi Blue 197 at a Renault garage, on Saturday. They had it as £12.5k but they said they would knock it down to £12k.

57 Reg with 13k on the clock, full service history and one owner.

Extras include:

• Climate control
• Extra tinted glass
• Recaro Seats
• Auto headlights
• Sports spoiler
• Xenons with washers

Are Renault charging too much for a car thats been sat on the forecourt for months?

Price is about right for a main dealer-

glasses jan price for RETAIL is 11k for basic spec-- + an extra of £500 for the lower than ave miles, plus the recaros etcs- thats a fair deal-
Not a bargain, but then there are no bargains at a main dealer-

a fair price for the car-- dont forget Mats & petrol

ahh yea it is including a full tank of petrol, and mats were basically new, cheers mate.

12k seems ok value, as said real shortage of them at renault dealers, better buying private as 11,5k will get you a 58 reg with options privately. You just cant be as choosy over colour.

The cheapest 200 iv seen was a 14,250 with 8k miles at a stealer, so 13k sounds a bit optimistic

Nice spec, pretty hard to come by with those bits.

I've got an 08 on the front for £12k. GW with cup chassis and a few bits (not recaros) 28 k though..

theres 2 on rensport at the minute for 13kish so not optimistic at all you just have to open your eyes

Not a bad price for the spec!

I see a few boggo 57/08's at my local dealer (Toomey Southend) a month or so ago when i was buying at over 12k with similar milage on them but whether they solds another question!

As said above should probably look private - There are a few well spec'd ones on PH at present on late plates!

Seems i was right to get mine through Mr Murr!

Don't forget the £7k ish one (or bestest offer) with "slight damage" = "Tried to drive under a lorry and failed"

OP Should have gone shopping in the Summer - 200 Cups for 12,999 - looks like the stealers are back on their feet :dapprove:

12k Seems pricey to me - but then you'll probably be getting some peace of mind from a stealer.

12k isnt that bad of a price tbh I looked around a few dealers and that seems about right for the spec I got mine 57 plate, same spec but with Cup Pack on 9k miles for a little less but wasnt main dealers, was a large car "supermarket" but I also had to P/X the missus car so cut down my haggling options

Whats extra on the R27's apart from being limited edition?

Any one know how many of each colour were sold in the 197s?

Lose the stickers....especially the roof one. It's abit like a 182 with both cup packs. I would rather have that than the poverty spec 182 cup.

I don't need to troll 197 or 200 threads, because before I have even woken up and had my special K, they have already desended into the comical "mine is better looking " farce like this one. Simple fact is if you think any clio is the best looking thing out there, you need to seek some form of help, possibly from an optician.

Almost makes me roffle as much as when people say " 172 has a perfect driving position"

I personally think the 197 is the best looking hot hatch. It's almost so subtle that to people who aren't into cars think it's just a normal Clio so don't think you're a boy racer!

But when you do notice the rear bumper (can't think of the word!), the recaros and the sexy front arches I think it looks stunning.

Just that i like both cars.
