@sonny172cup looks nice I'm wanting to run just a top dash like you have, what have you used to secure it I was thinking of just cable ties to the dash bar but I'd need to mount the heater controls somewhere so not to sure what to do really

I have removed the dash bar as well. There are three metal home made brackets bolted to the original earthing bolt points, these are then bolted to the dash, and one tied to the steering column, the back of the dash has the standard 3 torx25 bolts at the back as well. Its very sturdy and is firm.

Thanks for the help again mate!

So last night I finished painting the interior so now I can go about fitting my car back up, previously had a bms shifter but I've opted for a pure Motorsport shifter now so looking forward to see what they are like, as normal with the pure Motorsport products the finish is second to none! Stay tuned for more updates

Why the PMS over the BMS? Is there much difference thought they was the same design.
On the topic of shifter, I love the standard Clio one, think its perfect.

BMS one still has rubber bushes I thought?

PMS is all spherical bearings...

May be wrong though as I've never seen a BMS one.

I liked the standard one too to be honest. Was reluctant to fit the PMS one but glad I did it's such a nice bit of kit.

I much prefer my BMS shifter over the clio one, and ontop of that i prefer my PMS one to my old BMS one.

Maybe because it makes a good mechanical clunk everytime I change gears.. But yeah feels a lot more precise than the BMS, but i had no qualms with the BMS one.

Well more progress today, got the car started but it's somehow running on 1 cylinder I don't understand why as I've not touched it engine wise but I have a friend coming over tomorrow with another Clio so I can swap coil packs and all the rest of it to fault find! But any way doors are on and dash is in!

@seanconnolly I notice you have cut your door out....how do you open and close your door? also have you got a close up of the bolts/spacers used to push the window to the door to keep it tight seal?

Have you got the leads in the right firing order? Numbers are on the coilpack, cylinders start at Flywheel end (C1@flywheel).

My mechanic who originally built the car last year checked all that and was found to be correct mate, can't wrap my head around it as nothing in the engine bay has been touched, changed fuel tanks it wouldn't start so tried it a few times then when my mate came up to the unit who built the car got it running it would only run with the throttle being pushed it wouldn't idle and it sounded horrible! Could be a coil pack or injector down I guess but like I say it's not been touched so I'm worried it could be terminal now ?

Hi mate yeah I cut the door out I just grab on the wire and pull the tab at the end, I am going to cut some carbon or plastic and have a door card made and I'll just loop a cable tie round for something to pull on I guess

As for the window I just stuffed it up into the top rubber and siliconed it in at the bottom, been fine for about a year and although it does let a bit of water in its definitely not the worst I've seen lol

Well it's going to be tight but the car is up and running tomorrow the windows are going back in and then the bootlid will be fitted, what's the deal with not running a dash as I don't know if I'll have time to start cutting around the cage before Bedford on Saturday

So another late one on the car but im pleased to say the car is going to make it to Bedford, if any one spots the car in the way up feel free to wave or come over when you see me to introduce yourselfs or feel free to jump in for a drive if you see an empty seat!

A few more photos from Bedford, bloody windscreen rubber hanging off in the first few shots, when I realised it was waving around I pulled it off incase it fell off, fixed back properly today, ruined some nice photos though! The focus is my other halves it was her first time driving on track as I usually do track days in it although it's been in a back burner since the Clio has been built lol, spec is stage 4 RS conversion 405bhp and 450ft lsd and bc coilovers and k sport 8pot callipers, does go well especially up Bedfords back straight lol nearly nabbed 6th when I took it out didn't dare check the speedo lol

Avoid DS3000's like the plauge.. They require certain amounts and correct bedding in, if not deposits will embed themselves in the discs causing uneven surface, thats what your feeling, (the discs arnt actually warped). Happened to me, I even put the discs on a lave to scrap off the deposits after letting the discs rust up, you can see then looks like a dark/bluish smudge.

Iv been using DS1.11s for for 2 years that have been fine.

I would even say that DS2500 are overkill on the rear, DS performance pads work well but thats on a cup set up with minimal rear breaking, but if the ds2500 are working for you then keep them.
I only got the 3000's because my friend runs them on his x85 cup racer so I thought they'll be fine, they worked well but I'm open to try other things i think I'll give the ds1.11's next!

Yeah I agree on the rear tbh I don't run abs but have standard bias I don't think they get hot enough to work efficiently

Nothing to update unfortunately! Eager to get my hubs back from mark and try out the roll centre correction kit!

Bought myself a new truck for work / trackdays

It's a gem only 82k drives really well don't even know it has the Clio on the back of it lol, need to get the old company's sign writing off it and give it a good clean!

Spent a few hours going over the Clio with the machine polisher came up lovely and also had a few shots with my mates new toy a mint r32 gtr with a nice spec, drives like a brand new car if I'm honest!
