Thats a lovely looking car, you've done an amazing job :D

Am well jel, you want to come and polish mine :rasp:

Really really love this Clio. Makes me want to buy myself another black one despite the troubles of keeping it clean.

First time I have seen this project. Looks plain evil from the front! Might have to do something similar with our headlight:)

I like what you've done with the spraypaint in the early posts. I think I'll consider doing that when I get mine. Are the parts easy to remove?

  Stealth 438'd 182
Thanks for all the comments guys :)

cant say im a fan of the yellow, i think more oem gloss black or even rb would of looked cool

Rb would look awesome on that

I did think of going gloss black.. bit too boring though.. the yellow cage contrasts well with the black headlining inside now if it was all black dare i say it would be too much plus wanted to continue with the black and yellow theme + it matches the yellow in the renault badge! least that was the idea!

love the engine bay, did you notice any difference with strut brace?

I dont think it makes a difference but that being said after all the mods its very stiff though now.. so i suppose every little helps! i just like the looks :D

very easy mate the grill pulls out its only clipped to the bumper and the badge is just on torx bolts :)

aha black golds the best colour IMO but its a b**ch to keep clean!!!!!

Looks so shiney! I like those yellow touches to. How come the xenon ballast isnt attached to the headlamp?

  Stealth 438'd 182
This looks so clean very nice car, defiantly one of the best 182's on here, there is something different about it

black black and more black !! :p cheers man :)

are you going carbon bullets?

well I wasn't planning on it.. i like the silver ones.. kind of stand out and shows it off as a sport.. being as all the other models are black! hmm.. however carbon with yellow sounds goood :p!

Looks good mate please paint those front calipers silver or black though.

aha i like them yellow! :(

Looks so shiney! I like those yellow touches to. How come the xenon ballast isnt attached to the headlamp?

they're for the HID full beam :)

This with yellow 2.0 16v or black gold with yellow 2.0 16v would looks great :)

aha what an idea... you've really thrown a spanner in the works here haha :p

sooo sooo sick! :O absolute stunning motor! top job mate!

cheers dude! I was just about to order a carbon rear trim but developed an issue which will put any plans on hold for a bit!

gearbox has developed a slight whine.. very very slight.. can hardly hear it but im thinking it could well be worn diff bearings..

bank account has been hammered today.. new valeo clutch + new cable, some decent redline box oil + some brembo drilled discs + pads as the others were starting to wear
been over to see fred @ BTM performance who will be doing the recon work on it once its out.. he assures me its not too bad of a job but ive got a feeling its going to be a long and messy one!! but still the whine is only very slight even to the point that fred didn't know what i was on about to start off with so hopefully it wont need too much reconditioning work!

might do it next week whilst the weather seems okay! wish me luck!! I will take pictures of my progress as I go along! i suppose it will at least allow me to give everything else a good health check whilst im at it! maybe get some things uprated/powdercoated!

  Stealth 438'd 182
lmao terrible mate!! ahah!!

some more bad news

dephaser has started to rattle :(

thinking this is a perfect chance to fit some cams.. either 197s or some GT.. cat 428s dont know?!

doing plenty of research before i do anything :) got knackered diff bearings too it never rains but it pours!!

still going to make sure i do everything 100% no expense spared dont believe in doing things on the cheap.. will always come back and bite you!! just not looking forward to the bill!

will probably use agency transmissions and get the box recon'd dont want to risk a second hand box now! will be getting everything powdercoated too whilst its apart.. get it all looking mint :)

  Stealth 438'd 182

Gt cams are decent mate, think 438's are the best for peak power though.

Think I was chatting to you at fred's a while back when you had a whirring noise on the car, hope you got it sorted out mate :)

  Stealth 438'd 182
Aaah no way! Yeah that was me mate.. !

Decided to do the box myself and getting agency transmissions to sort it out :)

Definitely going to get Fred to do dephaser n cams though!

Nothing says stealth like a bright yellow cage! :p

Car looks mint though mate, good work!

  Stealth 438'd 182
Lmao! yeahhh all black is boring ;) thanks dude :D

A video I compiled from some of the footage from the last Curborough Track Day we did..

We hired the Track out for the day originally intending to do some serious Sprinting.. but being as we are in the middle of monsoon season we spent most of the time d*cking around! but everyone a right laugh and got some ace shots!

perfect weather to quickly learn your cars boundries!

anyway..

and we did have one go off..

all the pictures can be seen here on my 'photography' page :

after a fair bit of research into various cams think im going to go with 438's so its either a trip to KTec or Danny for fitting and mapping :)

  Stealth 438'd 182
Fitted new exhaust mount and waxoyl'd the underside of the car.. Looks nice and black now and keep everything like new :D

Also gave the arb a lick of paint and put some more satin black on the front grills

fred also supplies cat cams but looks like you got some anyway. Take it to fred to get them fitted and pop up to RS tuning for mapping, you wont be disappointed with the service from either of them

  Stealth 438'd 182
ahh didn't know that tbh but got these for a decent price anyway!

just got to take them somewhere to be done..

TDF quoted me £630 for mapping, fitting, new belts, cam seals and dephaser which isn't bad!

obviously i'll ask fred what he can do too as his reputation is top notch too only problem is having to go to two different places to get the work done.. depends on price too i guess!
