The civic:

I do like the civics, not checked insurance yet, but would this put you off?
Not found out what the damage was yet etc.

I do like civics!
Opinions please...

Performance their is nothing in it, as we all know (dont want to open a can of worms here). Looks though that has Xenons or at least projector halogens, so dependant on damage sustained, could be worth a look.

I really like them, I can imagine insurance will be insane compared to the clio but a quote wont hurt.
I've asked all the normal questions just so I'll see what reply i get.

Yeah wouldnt be swapping for performance, just for something different really, seems a decent-ish car to be honest, looks very nice :)

civics are way more common than 1*2s (well were i am from they are) and 1*2 i think look so much nicer! and has been proven there just as fast. i would stick with what you have tbh m8, spend some money on it if u have any hanging around.

  Clio Sport 182
Its a low miler and a late model but the damage thing puts me off. If you really want on, sell the 182 and just buy another ep3, you could pick up an 04 with maybe 55k for around 5k i reckon. The higher miles arent a big issue with a honda

the only hot hatch i cant stand just sumin about the look of them and the drivers, a mate laughed at me when i said my mk1 had 160 brake wiped that off his face when we went for a drive.
if you want a honda do it properly and get a integra you hardly ever see them on the roads they handle better go faster look better and are cheaper.

Lol, just wanted some opinions on it!
I put my car up just to see if there was any interest, not really interested in swapping it yet!

Don't know how they drive, but you could get one without crash damage and they look better.

I'm sure a certain area rep will be along shortly to advise in the ways of Honda/JDM.

Hmm, only £1300 to insure a VX220.....
£3.5k on a V6!

Keep the 182. Imo the CTRs look ordinary on the road, whereas the 182s are a bit more distinctive.

drove one before i bought the clio, just didn't like the power delivery/lack of drama/rigid cornering.

seems a little more sensible and definatly more refined than a clio

great if that's what you're after.

however i'm damn sure an EK9 or a sorted EG6 would be a different story

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)
You'd have to see whether the damage was serious or not but they are fantastic cars. Slightly faster than the Clio but don't offer as much feedback through the steering wheel.

Get the VX!

cat C or cat D?

Try and get some pics of the crash damage, a cat D doesnt always mean a shed, but at the same time someone generally only wants to swap if they are getting the better side of the deal. It must be a nightmare to sell that car on, hence why he's looking at an easy deal.

^^^^^ exactly right, damaged repaired is just a clever way of describing the fact that this car has been a cat d or cat c insurance write off

dont touch it with a barge pole!!!!!!!!!!!
