Which filter is the same then. I've tried a few and the Ktec is louder
Its pretty :smile:I still dont see the fascination with doing it with silicones - cost more & more joins.
Weighs more too. lol.Its pretty
Doesnt scratch....its pretty. Each to there own bud it works whichever way you do it and sounds awesome
Lol. My painted ally pipe looks more oem too. At least the 2 silicon pipes are cheaper than the k tax kit!Weighs more too. lol.
Thought I would add this just as a dummies guide picture for anyone interested. hope this helps someone

This is what i used mate, perfect length and sturdyHave you bought 70 mm'SS joiner on ebay? Can you give me the link?
Thanks
For £25 I'd be all the hassle and buy a new filter. [emoji23]Sorry if I've missed it not at home to search properly.
But what are people using to clean there foam filters before re oiling ? I usually use soap and water.
I've already got the re oiling stuff done it a few times now just wondering if anyone has any tips on a cleaner to use - or is it best to get the proper pre cleaner in an can ?

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but have people generally found it possible to fit the Ramair CC-296-70 in between the battery & headlight?
Looks really tidy. Like the battery cover tooMy fatty's
Done mine with Silicone hose (just to go with the coolant hoses)

Swaged should be ok, but certainly no need for them.
I went for a plain end coloured version (not much choice at mo tho!) that needed cutting down, but probably helped get the fit just right.

I don't recall tightening it too much, the alloy pipe was a nice fit. As long as it's tightened up I wouldn't worry about it mate.I’ve fitted the fatty and it’s just as good as I hoped. The sound is absolutely fantastic.
I noticed that the alloy pipe, which is 70mm diameter doesn’t sit snugly inside the plastic intake hose though. I.e the jubilee clip needs a fair bit of tightening to grip the alloy pipe. Has anyone else had this issue, and did you use a sleeve on the alloy pipe or just leave the jubilee clip as tight as possible to try and prevent any air leaks?
Any universal one should be fine, probably a halfords one would suffice. Can anyone provide details for a breather filter to fit onto the pipe for a 182?
Cheers
Mines a 20mm, was a little bit of a tight squeeze to get it over the pipe but does go on with some wd40 or similar on the OD of pipe. Can anyone provide details for a breather filter to fit onto the pipe for a 182?
Cheers
