Trophy #41 - Showroom Fresh

Those of you who know me will know that the Trophy is far from a show car bodywork wise. It's lived on a track all its life and every owner has taken it to the Nurburgring at least once. It's covered in stone chips (the front bumper is beyond salvageable), the door handles are pink and it gets used and abused daily as my work horse and occasional toy. I bought it on 68k for £3800 4 years ago and it's currently probably still worth that (if not more) on 106k now. I love it though and will never sell it 😌

Anyway I thought it was about time it got its annual polish and general tidy up. I spent 5 hours on it (got carried away) and I don't think it's ever been this tidy in its life. My mate John helped me with the headlights too, which were so misty that they looked yellow. They came up like new!

I'll have to keep on top of it now.

The bloke selling it had it up for a few months he said, and really needed to get rid as his Mrs was about to pop. It came with a private reg and a Yozza too which got sold on so I made money back on that. A proper bargain! The only thing it's needed are 2 lambda sensors and an alternator. 😌

I honestly can't believe you've had it so long tbh! I think in that time I've had:

• Mk5 ZS
• Ph1 306 D Turbo
• Clio 1.2
• Monaco 172
• 197

I think the Trophy is tidier now than it was when you got it tbh!

I'd either just got rid or still had it.

I got the ZS on new years eve 2011, so maybe I already had it by the time you for the T.

Cheers, even just after a wash with Dodo Juice shampoo it looked super shiny somehow. Just used Super Resin Polish on the bodywork and some Collonite 476 (and Werkstat Jett sealant) to finish it off. Strong Bilberry on the wheels and Megs Endurance tyre gel
