Typical 1.8 16v rolling road figures

Got my car booked in for a 2 and half hour tuning session at interpro in Jan. What are the typical figures for a valver on a rolling road (bhp + Torque)? cus its blaitantly not 137bhp on a 95 plate valver! Also does it make difference in me wheel size cus my mate said to take me 17s off and change it to me standard 15s?

its 137bhp at the fly remember , so it would prob be 115-120 on the road,

im sure i will be corrceted if im wrong !!

also i wouldnt mind seeing what you get as mines standard (i know it will vary from car to car but a rough guess will do)

Standard fly reading is 137bhp

Standard wheel reading is apporx 113bhp

Standard torque is approx 116-119lb/ft

Expect a slightly bigger transmission loss with the 17"s

Do you normaly get much more power once your cars been set up on the rollin road? My cars on 80k and i dont think its ever been tuned. I feel it needs one now badly!

If there is a reason for it to be tuned, then you will see more power. If everything is running fine, you wont get much more out of it.......

Well ive just had head work done, head gasket and few other bits and bobs. Ive also got a IK and plannin to have an exhaust by then. My car does seem slow at the mo and the garage where i had the work done at said it most probs needs a tune.

what eactly are they going to "tune" there isnt anything to adjust in real terms. there is a possibility they might be able to diagnose why it not making enough power but that can be done much cheaper and much less accuratly by having a good sniff of your exhaust fumes. If it makes low BHP and is running very rich/lean at certain revs then it could point you in the right direction to rectifing it.

hope this helps - sorry if it sounds negative

Im hearin ya. I spoke to renatec bristol last night and they said you cant tune sh*t on a valver unless you have the right computer. I spoke to a geezer there who said for 65 quid he should be able to findthe powewr loss and get all the fueling to its best (He was sayin that there is few simple places where my horses could be hidin!). Lets hope his action speak as loud as his words!

i got 169.1bhp and 150ft/lb but....iv got a sh*t load of engine work, and i think the rollers were a tad high that day. other valvers with a few mods weer getting between 143 and 158bhp!
