Whats the minium amped batterey you could use on a 172

Light weight batterey time for the track ****, And it needs to be on a budget if possible .. so have come up with a cheap light weight batterey solution - Motorbike one! weight is 1.5kgs & they hold around 6amps so if i bought 2 a linked them i would get 12AMPS weighing in at 3kgs roughly & this could be done for £40 "ish" .. would that be happy with the starting current & general running? bare in mind i have the bare minium - no aircon, radio etc if not what light weight batterey could i get away with running?

Bear in mind you'll end up jumping whichever battery you get when you want to use the car.

Thats what i'm thinking, bloody pricey though :dapprove:... think it may be bolted in behind the passenger seat as i may be chopping out the boot well "if possible/safe"

Still put it in the boot, get some weight on the rear wheels

optima and about £150?

just i work for exide (not the car battery factory but can source them) and sure we make optima and could get it a lot lot cheaper than that, or any batt to be honest (unsure about guarentee though)
