Why are Reno exhaust rubbers so crap!!! (Improvisation pics!)

  EP3 Civic Type R
Got some new ones when the Yozza was fitted, the exhaust went on great, but it still sat slightly down because the rubber mounts are just so flimsy (even brand new)

So I did the tried and tested Cliosport trick- bit of old water piping, hacksaw, tie wraps and bobs your mum's cousin. Doesn't look pretty, but the exhaust will not move now, at all!!

Who says girls won't muck in and improvise. Sorted!

looks god although i wud secure it at the bottom and the right hand side with zip ties like you have done on the left hand side, the vibrations when driving and bouncing from the exhaust may cause that to slip out

Got it in one! I've ordered some 'universal' polyflex ones to see if i can make them fit... just waiting for them to arrive.

Makavelli... will be doing tomorrow- it got dark and cold so I gave in for the day :)

lol luckily my btb has fitted really well and has lasted nearly 12months without sagging, ive got the inserts ready for when it does tho lol

my prospeed needed loads of inserts packing in the mounts :(

Yeh, I was prepared for this happening, hacksaw in hand! The exhaust fit itself is excellent... you'd think Reno would have learn't by now. My valver was the same

On my 172 I cut the old star rubber out and pushed in a Halfords £1 jobby exhaust rubber hanger and cable tied it on with the spare holes. Worked an absolute treat!
