  A special one.
How have I missed all these fun and games! Sorry to hear about the Shell. Do we think that's a common problem? I may need to check the flamer - lol!

New one looks nice, and with a blend of the bits you had previously it should be brilliant.

Can you PM which wheels you tried, I'm buying some more for mine and have a big long list of 'ones that don't fit' so want to add it to that!

Welcome to elite Clio ownership (ph2). Awaits ph1 fanboy rage. X

That is all.

It could be a problem. I know someone else with a Ph2 Clio with the same issue. I'd say there's probably hundreds nocking around with rust.

Yeah the "When two become one" project should be good! Although heavier over the front than my ph1 by about 23kg by my reckoning.

I tried Rota Slipstreams and TSW Hockenheims. OZ F1s need 20mm spacers and a bit grinding off the callipers. I had ordered Advanti Racing Storm S1 wheels but I've cancelled the order so I could fund the new car.

Ph2 fwiend!

Gutted to hear Tom, I guess cars with choked drain holes in the sills are going to get this. Only so much a thin coat of galvy can do.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure my race car has some type of wax down there too which I can only see as being from factory?

Picked it up and pretty happy with it. A few things I want to sort out apart from the swapping of parts.

Bonnet weighs a tonne so will look at a fibreglass one. Either that or the Ph1 front end conversion...really don't know whether to do that or not.
Throttle is very heavy and needs some adjustment. I may even swap my ITBs over, something I wanted to look at on the dyno was the difference between the Jenvey SFs and the DTHs
Steering feels too light and not enough feel. I was going to keep the PAS on this one, save messing around but driving it back I can't get over how light and airy the PAS feels. Its fine parking but otherwise I prefer no PAS. WIth it being a Ph2 I guess I could fit the EPAS column etc. for parking.
Dash lights. Couple of them are on due to the ECU. I don't know whether to swap over to the Gen90 and do away with the Typhoon, it'll mean mapping again and the mapping on it at the moment feels very good as it was done by RS Tuning.

You have a manual rack on your ph1 right? I have a memory like a goldfish. If you don't like the PAS then surely the ePAS is going to feel even worse!

You could just remove the bulbs from the dash for the lights, saves a lot of messing around and remapping. I personally wouldn't want to touch what RST have done. Potential issue with MOT that way though, but you could find ways around it.

I wouldn't put a ph1 front end on it either in my opinion. Keep it looking modern. A ph1 looks good as a whole package. I wouldn't just want the front end. (but then again I do prefer a ph2 anyway)

Epas means you fit a controller that allows you to alter the level of assistance you get mate.

But he can turn down to zero except when parking and have the same as he has now + easy parking.

I get that. But what I've seen someone say is that even with it turned up, it still doesn't feel as good as normal PAS...

So yeah he could have easier parking, but then he could be worse off for feel for track driving?

Which might not be ideal, if he think it feels too airy as it is.

But I've not tried either lol so I'm only going off what I've read.

I know yeah but I'm sure I've seen people say it's still not as good for feel as PAS. Especially remember Fred saying it.
With sticky tyres on my cup and full epas assistance I'd say you actually get less assistance than the hydraulic pas supplies. That's with a looped rack though. Maybe different if using the epas rack.

Everyone has different expectations of what should feel right to them. Take brakes for example, ds2500's feel good to me in my car and I've never had fade. Others have had and don't rate them on track. @Ph1 Tom has had this with ds2500's as an example.

Just because someone says it on the forum doesn't mean it's gospel mate. I'm not saying Fred's wrong either! It's just a case of different strokes for different folks mate.

I have checked my ph1 and it's really bad! What do I do? Drive it til it falls apart then break it?
I assume the cost of fixing is way more than the car with worth?

Nice to see you have a blue and silver clio sat together. Lol.

Please can I recall page 5 and your radiator and fan setup? I have found the same radiator on eBay and about to purchase it but am unsure firstly how or if it is mounted at all and secondly how do you mount a fan by bolting through the radiator? Thanks.

Haha yeah I'm not the only one! ;)

Its mounted with a alloy bracket I made and a cable tie. The fan is fitted with a fan fitting kit. I'll be selling the rad and fan when I start stripping the silver one.

Interested in the rad. I seem to remember you saying it was an off the shelf item? That's what I'm after and not a fancy pants fabricated one, just in case I knock it :)

Had a few good sessions in it at Oulton Park on Friday. Beat my previous best wet lap by 5 seconds but nearly had a moment doing a ton going into druids.

Yesterday I started taking bits off it to put onto the Cup. Kind of a bittersweet moment knowing how well it went on Friday but hopefully it'll be a better car when the Cup is finished.
