credit crunch ? Ha

Sick of hearing all depressing things about the credit crunch but here is some good news. Looked at a meg 225 at a stealers the other day and out of interest just asked for part ex value on mine expecting to get bent over.

Its a 54 182 non cupped with 37 on the clock. To my suprise he offerewd me more staright off than what i paid for it ha.Although to be fair i did only just buy it 6 months ago and it was by only £50.

But i said that it was too low and he said that there is probably a few more hundred quid in in.

Renault offered me £7k for my Trophy over the summer, I bet I'd be lucky to get £5k for it now! :dapprove:

Its a toughey meg is on a 657 plate with 6k on the clock £11995 but lots iof wiggle room but still pricey. But it is immaculate though. Still deciding

Is that meg going rate money or over the top ?

If it's going rate then fair play. If it's over then not such a good deal - the stealer has offered you more as he has to get his profit from somewhere.

at that point i was just browsing as i was looking at a 197 cup as well so i didn't go into that much detail but tbh honest he seemed pretty desperate.

They haven't got any 182's in stock at the moment so dont know if that had anything to do with it?

If the stealers really desperate to get rid, it might be bit of a lemon (duff car) athough it still has warranty on it.

If you've seen it & like it (it's is good) do a deal.

think there was a greyish one, and then a black R26 which i took out. had a quick nose at an R26-R but it was a customers so couldnt have a blast in that. shame really

if you offer them cash rather than finance, they'll knock some off it, paif £14.5k for a 197 that would have been £17k. i know thats a new car, but they'll want to shift vehicles anyway possible at the moment
