The stubby’s such a good tool, I’m always impressed at how much power it has, cracked off some thread locked caliper bolts today no issues.

I'd genuinely get a doubling sliding one.

I got one which only goes one way and it's such a pain when doing long parts as you have to turn the material instead of just the head of the saw

That's the double bevel version, quite a bit more money but it's decent. My brother has the same one.

I have a milwaukee 18v, no problems with a good blade.. It can drain a knackered battery in 0.00001 of a second tho.

I'd get anything with a good blade though.. a rafter square is a good guide, but if it works on a track it's a bonus.

Which Milwaukee? There’s a good few to choose from. I usually take time comparing models and generations but this is a little last minute.
Just need it as a good all rounder. I don’t mind spending a bit more if it’s worth it as with the mitre above. I’ll be cutting 18mm ply with it this time round but anything could happen in future.
Is there a trade off between cutting depth and manoeuvrability? Potential for a track would be nice.
I remember @dann2707 bought two different ones?

I've got the rear handled one which has a f**k load of power, it's immense but it's pretty hefty and is a two handed job really cos of the weight distribution

I think this is the one that looks like a good all rounder and you can get adapters for tracks (can probably 3d print you one tbh!)

Thanks mate. Haven’t bought the red one yet, got the evolution today though. Went for the double bevel as suggested above. Plunge saw looks epic! Appreciate the offer for the track adapter, may take you up on it if I get a track.
Is it just the plunge and rear handle that fit track?

I’m curious about the other models now so I’m down the rabbit hole of research. Most blades you see are 165 so that would make me assume they’re most common.
There’s no f in the model code for the 165mm linked so I’m wondering if it’s an old model or not brushless fuel. 🤷‍♂️
Also the 150mm cuts to 57mm and looks a newer gen, 165 only cuts to 55mm

I've got mine with a hoover bag inside it and the power is a bit lower than a Henry. If I didn't use a bag I would say it would be on par easily.
Infact I don't even know why I use a hoover bag inside it
One thing I will say is if you're using it to vacuum grinder dust, make sure the vac nozzle is more than at least 0mm away from the grinding wheel because the plastic nozzle is Infact softer than a full throttle grinding wheel 😎 guess how I learnt that one

I'm building my version of your garage and hit a properly MASSIVE root which I can't axe, so I plan to burn one of chains

to cut that out, then afterwards I have two tree stumps I'd like to be smaller... after that I'll put it on my bedroom shelf and start it before bed each night.

Would make a mad alarm clock tbh.
