Small update I guess.

I mentioned before I’d sourced second hand doner box, subframe, supports wishbones and knuckles. All of these have been sent off to my mate to blast and powder coat. (Box is being carefully soda blasted).

Once back, the box will be going to Northloop to be rebuilt regardless and have the diff fitted. Before going back in the car with a Sachs performance clutch.

The freshly refurbed wishbones and subframe and knuckles etc will be fitted up with fresh bushes and bearings before fitting. New ball joints and rod ends also etc.

Carbon splitter has arrived, was going to fit today to cheer myself up but it looks like it’s a job to do on a ramp to get it right. So will have to wait.

Hoping to get everything sorted in September !

I may have to leave this tread due to PTSD - I'm starting to have flashbacks of a depleting bank account.

However this will look the business like I said earlier

Everything I don't/haven't replaced is going to annoy the s**t out of me now :ROFLMAO:

I am hoping to have the box and subframe etc back from the blasters this weekend/early next week. Box then to be sent up to Mark to be rebuild and checked over and have the diff etc fitted up.

Then finally, I can look to get this bloody expensive paperweight on the move again!

I am waiting on Powerflex steering rack bushes atm, which may be the only hold up. Hoping to get some news on these soon from @Kev@KAM as Powerflex are being a bit rubbish atm.

ive got powerflex everything, just waiting on the rack bushes mate. I went purple all round bar the wishbones as they don’t do purple for those anymore apparently as they didn’t last.

It’s possible they might not come in a sensible time frame though so may have to look at alternatives if that is the case….

Some momentum on this, top work!

Been an expensive gearbox refurb 😂

It feels like it’s taking ages from my side mate !

Was hoping to have it back on the road this month, but realistically it may not be until early next month - all things considered :(

I read the updates and see x things bought and x things refurbished and then just think how this would have taken me years 😂

Spending money to keep them in tip-top condition is money well spent, in my opinion.

I've been driving mine for 10 days now. I do this periodically to stop myself from going mental.

Back and forth to work, over the moors at the weekend - I just love driving it. I collected my new Sportage lease car a month ago, and it's been in storage for most of that time while I hoon around in my little Frenchie. Like our politicians and media, modern cars are bland, boring, and average at best.

I've had high-performance German cars, and they've engineered the fun out of them.

The people who look after them tend to be those who understand what makes a car so great. Selling them is like selling your soul, and we need soul more than ever before.
