It'll be beyond what most people deem even remotely reasonable, but there will be a few people, who like you, must have the best. It wont be stupid expensive for what you get though.....ah, enough, its Sheds thread...sorry guys!!!!
lol, i've got an affliction where i have to make the best aswell, irrespective of cost lol.
Not wanting to take sheds thread off topic, but if your waiting for the ultimate, it'll be another month or 2....but price wise, wont even be close to what Sheds is now is reduced haha. Its great...
it looks like a good system, but i'm just wondering why that particualr part would cost so much. Its not exactly a complex component or using alot of material.
Even the most outrageously well built decat i've had has cost me £98
Brakes are ONLY about converting kinetic to thermal energy.
Clamping force has very little to do with things.
Brakes work by forming and braking bonds between the pads and the pad deposition layer on the disc, not the iron itself.
The disc has a great influence because you are...
The 'best' cam for you will entirely depend on what your trying to achieve and your engine spec. On a stock type engine be best cam will be one which peaks power at just before 6800rpm (as the stock ecu retards the vvt then and power drops off like a stone), but builds MASSIVE torque over the...
2ltrs come alive once you put a decent set of cam in.
But if you want bodies, i'm not stopping you. 2ltr has punch to go with it, 1.8 you'll have to wring its neck.
yours sounds like a nice freak.
Bodies alone on a stock 1.8 doesnt realise the gains that it does on the 2ltr. And to really help make the engine breath, additional work is needed ideally.
a cammed 2ltr will still be faster than a 1.8 on bodies.
Yea, the ports are CNC'ed from factory.
There are great gains to be had in terms of bulk numbers and flow quality, but i wouldnt touch it if you have no exprience with this particular head. The CNC process leaves next to zero material in areas you want, so traditional porting theories dont...
If your running a roots/screw type, adiabatic efficiency isnt bad so you can get away without an intercooler.
Dump the stock inlet manifold, mount the charger behind the engine on a fabbed up inlet/plenham/charger flange mount, leaving the front aux setup stock, just add a longer belt...
I'd go for all new stock bushes.
Poly bushes in stock type applications tend to bind up and not work properly because they didnt think about the compound movements that suspension goes through.
so when is a game up......
I think whomever sets up a game needs to pm a list of people once its up.
If you can be bothered adding your name to the list, then it would make the hosts life alot easier instead of waiting for people to check this thread.

At a minimum, recut the valve seats and valves themselves, new seals, and a good old wash along with a face grind.
Also any problems flagged up with inspection.
