do you have to press your horn pad very hard to activate the horn? Mine can double up as one of the resistance machines in the gym. Whats yours like?

so, today I had a few errands to run. Before I started, I checked the oil level, all nice and correct, then nipped down to the petrol station to check/pump the tyres (33psi f, 31psi rear - good combo) then nipped into Egham to brim with OptiMax and some petrol treatment stuff, then onwards...
i really like the mirrors you get on mercs with the in built indicators. does any offer a nice version of these for the Clio? I know you can get a DTM style one with three cators stacked above each other (yummy) but I not keen on the DTM style when the rest of the car looks very road, not race...
its in their top 100 cars u must drive (number 72 i think). They say it has lightening fast steering (no it hasnt) and that it has concrete springs (no it hasnt).
just thought Id share that with you.

this is a very lazy post, but here goes.
If i wanted to make some minor mods to my car to increase the BHP (but not detract from its low-down flexibility) what package should I buy and what do I get for my money. Also, how much would it cost for it to be fitted by someone who knows what theyre...
gave the Puppy a really good wash yesterday...scrubbed up nice for a tiddler. Checked my front tyres and sh*t the bed!...theyre down to the legal limit! Ive only done 9k! I dont boi-racer it (no wheelspinning, although lately its been getting a lot frisker and spins its wheels in second and...
just coming back from a lunch time kebab with my work mates, I was driving up toward Virginia Water when an unmarked Astra behind me stuck on his blueys. Didnt think Id been speeding so pulled over and got out my car before he did.
I walked over to them both and the officer in the passenger...
i knew it would go wrong from the moment i saw it.
On fan speed with most of the bars displayed, i dont get the output the correlates to the no of bars, then five minutes later i get the full sound effects and fan speed to meet the graphics.
And now, by air con turns itself on when it fancys...
in this weeks autocrap, theres a piece about engines dying after not being topped up with oil. The mag asked some car companies about their oil light policy, and part of renos response was ...as part of the free 6,000 safety check. Hmmm, is this the free safety check they no longer offer when...
Did a long drive to a mates last night (well, 40miles which is long for me!), part m-way, and I decided that in the Car Olympics, the C172 would excel at these sports:
sprinting - always the first to erupt away from the blocks
lunging (is that a sport?) - anywhere in between 40-80 it...
im must admit, Ive been surprised and impressed by the amount of positive comments/interest my clio gets about its looks (its totally standard). heres some recent ones:
- a few months ago, in traffic in earls court, i could see from the corner of my eye three girls in an audi waving and...
might be a daft question, but do you think a set of decent sized MiniLites would look good on a 172? I think theyd look good on a black or blue one, but pants on my red one. Any comments, thoughts?
Cheers,
g
Right guys, as reno cant provide any consistent answers, today I emailed the Telegraphs Honest John with four warranty questions. His answers are under my questions marked with a >>>>>. This weekend, Im looking at Leon Turbos...read and enjoy.

Dear HJ,
Please can you...
May 02 Clio 172, flame red, 7.5k, Trade Sales job, 1 owner, totally standard, inc the cd stacker under the seat, no modes, a1 nick (except the rust and the missing nozzles...)
Im thinking about swapping it for a Leon Turbo (if i can find one). I dont care if the Leons done a few more miles...
mine have come off, local reno dealer says he wont fix a missing part under warranty. How did you guys resolve this please?
Im getting to the point where Im hating the Clio now - too much is going wrong and the dealers are complete pillocks. I can feel a swap coming along pretty soon for...
guys what cc is the Pug 206GTi?
I had some interesting moments along a quiet motorway with one last night. In 2nd, 3rd, 4th and to an extent, 5th, there was hardly anything in it. I think I had a fraction more go, but not much more until about about 110. We swapped places a few times (stop...
so, C172s are made by RenaultSport. But what happens? Are the bodies taken from Renualts normal factory and then shipped to RenaultSport to have the engine, interior and the trim fitted by the refugees at Sangatte? What is the process for making a C172 then? Anyone know?
cheers,

think about it....
Clios and 5-series share:
- the LHD wiper set up
- the biggest wiper arms ever seen on a production car
- a warm glow from the red dash lighting at night
- bright Xenon lights
- the same slightly funny steering (540i I mean here, not the smaller engined 5 series)...
ok, this might be a dumb-ass question but here goes: why is renault sometimes referred to as le regie (i think) by the motoring press? I dont understand or know the reference. Has anything to do with state ownership, or one of the founders or something?
cheers,
g

anyone here ever owned or driven a R5 Gordini Turbo? My mum had a red one from new in April 83 - May 87 (replaced by an Orion 1.6 Ghia i, of all things). I was too young then to have driven it, but it seemed alarmingly quick at the time. Id love to see one now, compare it looks-wise etc with the...

I popped open the bonnet to fill the washer resevoir yesterday while my engine was idling. The engine was warm. It sounds quite rattly, well maybe not rattly, but sort of gurgly, if that makes any sense? Its a peach when running and it pulls like a Latino when you accelerate, so I dont think...
