I ask becouse my car sometimes the engine at idle speed is not stable and in the exaust backbox (silencer) you heard tut.. tut tut tut tut and a friend told me you have to clean the VVT Solenoid is getting stocked and engine is loosing the timming so I do not know

Hi, the TDC sensor just detect like Ben said the crank position so if it fail just do not start the car and no problems with cold start problems due is a simple magnet so or detect or no detect, and in most cases the real problem is the TDC conector
I used this resistor in my old chevy v6 works good for me for 5 or 6 years in fact car still runnig ok with their new owner
Car just will consume more gas and need to be complete with a high flow air filter and a good exaust sistem, menawhile more gas & air get the engine more power will...
Could be the resistor in the gas pedal, the arness/connector or the throtle motorized body
You can check the connector in the gas pedal if is good conected to the resistor
